Chapter 14: Meeting up with the servant of the Chaos Goddess

With the paramedics and the royal soldiers in training rushed on the field to make sure that Star was alright and that her alien didn't go loose to kill anyone else. Watching the misty shade of tendrils fading away with Carry's body, they all looked at each other and said, "well, that has been delt with, but how long until that thing will come back?"

Without a response from anyone else, Lucio went to Carry's dead body and said, "rest in peace my buddy of mine. Maybe you'll stop dying on us." He chuckled mournfully.

Helping out Star who was out conscious and placed her onto a stretcher for the third time this day, Aislinn announced as the crowd left with happy murmurs, "please remember that tomorrow starts round two of our last 16 participants a 12 PM."

As everyone was leaving, Griselda asks as they started leaving the dome up above, "what was that thing anyway Aislinn? I know you said alien, but was that what it really was?"

Climbing down a latter that lead onto another ramp that lead to stairs, she said while shaking her head in disbelief, "I don't even know. When I did scan her, her race that is showed on my interface did show that she was an alien."

"Where do you think that the alien went?" She asks while taking the steps down to the main floor.

"No clue, but if I have one clue on what I have seen by its misty tendrils, with certainty, I can give you a 92% that the alien race found itself a new host and if that is, oh my. Where going to have to keep an eye on Carry Lanceful."

"Crap, really?"

Giving her a nod, they continued on just until they both said farewell just until tomorrow and with Aislinn contacting her good friend Sammy to update on everything she has saw during this tournament especially the unknown race that came out of Star attaching itself to Carry and what the possibilities that the alien race can do to him if he is infected. With Sammy telling her that first, they would like to see if Star has always had the alien or has it been recent by old tournament videos. Then, if it has been with her a long or short time with Star, why has it or how was it able to access Star and Futuramous. With Aislinn telling her that she will look through the archives of the last three years of Edison's tournament, she told her that she will get back with her by tomorrow and hopefully they'll have an answer. Once they hung up and as she made it back to her apartment noticing that it has been a couple days since she has seen her sister. Wanting to contact her, but at the same time, she does not want to especially if she is on mission. However, when she made it to her room that is down the hall by a window which leads to the back of the building where there aren't any cameras at, she sees a note attached to a throwing star knife telling her:

Dear Aislinn,

I'm sorry to tell you this and I should have expected it and though I can't tell you much on what is going on, but what I can tell you is that I am on mission and unfortunately, I cannot see you until the mission has been accomplished. Again, unfortunately I don't know how long that will be, but as soon as I find some time, then I will try to see or talk to you, but because how big this mission is, I am prohibited from seeing you or anyone in that sake. Please understand that I don't mean to disappear but we both understand what I have to do. I love you Aislinn and I will make my way back to you somehow, some way, but for the meantime, I must go into hiding for right now in the real world and even in the game.

After reading the letter, she crunched it up with the palm of her hand then as she unlocked the door with tears falling from her eyes down her cheek while throwing the paper into the trash ben. Slamming her fist on the counter and cursing her sister for working for a stupid governor who is trying to kill her friend that she wants to pass on her wisdom to. Not understanding why, she is doing what she is doing. When she does see her sister, she will give her a piece of her mind. Grabbing a glass from her organized shelf full of cups, grabbing a shot glass then pouring herself a shot of whisky, then taking a seat at the bar stool by a tall counter. Allowing everything to settle in as she wiped tears away from her eyes from the unexpected love of her sister and as she thought everything over, she says to herself, "I know what you have to do sister, but you are doing the wrong thing sis. I've always told you to stop taking orders to that man because he is no bueno. Don't think I can't see what you are writing to him and don't think I don't know what is going on sister. I know what you are doing. I don't care what you do with all of your other victims, but you will stay away from my student." Pouring herself another shot, she also said to herself, "please do the right thing Eirian." Then from that, she took her shot, drunk it down, then cleaned the glass and placed it back in the shelf where she grabbed it from.
