Chapter 6

Raven slowly woke up, and smiled at arms around her. She felt warm... and so safe. Like nothing could harm her again. She never wanted it to end.
"Mourning, my love." Robin said gently, and Raven giggled.
"What are we British, now?"
Robin laughed himself at the joke.
"Maybe we are." They both laughed slightly, and Robin raised up from the bed. He leaned over Raven, and kissed her cheek. "What about breakfast?"
She smiled gently, and nodded. She was the first to get out of bed, and she stretched, making her long, baggy shirt rise up slightly, showing her black underwear.
Robin noticed, and blushed slightly. He also noticed some black on her lower waist. Raven turned around, catching him. She blushed like crazy. "S-sorry. I forgot..."
He gently smiled. "It's okay. What's that on your back?"
Her mouth formed into an "o" shape, and she lifted up her shirt, and turned around.
Robins eyes widened, and looked at the tattoo. It was a black Raven.
"It's pretty." Robin said, smiling.
She turned around, and put her shirt down, and smiled gently.

He got out of bed himself, and stretched. He walked over to Raven, and wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Don't get cocky, boy wonder." Raven teased, smirking.
"Too late for that." Robin kissed her lips, tenderly. Raven smiled in the kiss. Robin pulled away.
"Get some pants on, Rachel."
"Kay, Dick"

Robin walked into the kitchen, with Raven following behind.
"Hey Robin!" Cyborg greeted the leader.
"... And Raven." Beast Boy added, which made Cyborg and Star notice her.
"Raven!" Cyborg smiled and hugged Raven, spinning her.
"Hello." Raven said, her monotone voice.
Cyborg smiled. "Welcome back."

They all ate breakfast together, and then it hit Raven.
"We slept all day and night..." Raven said to Robin.
"Huh? I guess we did...." Robin said, realizing himself.
"We...?" Cyborg asked Robin whispering.
Robin nodded, thankful he whispered. He didn't want to tell anyone, until it's official.
Cyborg nodded understanding, and continued eating his eggs.
Starfire was telling Robin about the traditions of her home land. Little did she know, a certain bird was holding hands with another bird under the table.

"He actually did that?" Raven asked, giggling.
"Yeah! The guys insane!"
It was 7:00pm. Raven and Robin were laying on Ravens bed, talking.
"Hey... How do you know who I am?" Robin asked Raven.
"You mean your true identity?" Raven asked, unsure of what he meant.
Robin nodded, and Raven sighed.
"I've been inside your mind, remember?"
"Oh... So you know everything?"
Raven shook her head. "Not everything. I know about your oath to Batman, and your parents. That's about it." Raven confessed. She would like to know more about him, but she didn't want to ask.
"I'll tell you then. Ask any questions you want."
"You sure?"
"Positive."
Raven paused, thinking of one of the billion questions in her head.
"What happened between you and Batman?"
Robin sighed. "We were too... different. He was so controlling sometimes, and we did things differently. I remember one time this guy was working for the Joker...."
"The guy we fought at the ball?"
"Yeah, him. Well, he left the guy behind. The guy decided to go to his apartment and try to leave Gotham. I followed him, and it ended up he had a family. A wife, and a little boy. I stopped, not wanting to do it in front of his family... then Batman showed up..."

Flashback....

"Where's the Joker?!" Batman asked Connor with him pinned against the wall.
"I-I don't know!"
Batman slams him against the wall, frustrated and trying to get the answer out of him.
"Daddy!" The little boy cried.
"Remember now?"
Robin calmly walks towards Batman.
"Batman. Not like this. Not in front of his family."
"The sooner he talks, the sooner we leave."
Robin glances at the little boy, and gets angry.
"I'm out of here. Now." Robin then escapes out the window, leaving Batman.

"What made you finally leave?" Raven asked.
"He put my girlfriend at the time on danger."
"How?"
"She was Batgirl. And he didn't even tell me..." Robin says, in disgust.
Raven sits up, looking at him. She extends her hand, but stops in her tracks. He doesn't move, and she continues.
She slowly pulls off his mask, revealing his brown eyes. She smiles, and then lays back down.
"Why don't you ever take off your uniform?" She ask.
He shrugs slightly. "Never really thought about it." He gets up, and takes off his uniform, leaving him in his underwear.
She blushes deeply.
He laughs, and lays back beside her.
"You're adorable, you know."
She smiles gently, and then frowns.
"What's wrong?" He ask, sitting up to look at her. She sits up with him, and exhales.
The box appeared in front of them. Robin looks at her, confused.
"Open it." She said, her voice cracking,
He slowly opens the box, and gasps at what's in it.
"HERION?" He yells, looking at the needles, the spoon, and the other stuff.
She nods slowly, and runs to the bathroom. She throws up the breakfast.
Robin leans against the door frame.
Raven looks up at him, and frowns.
"How long?" He ask, waiting for answers.
"Awhile."
"Why?"
"It helped..."
"This wasn't the answer." He sighs, and gets rid of the drug.
She cringes, and then throws up more.

A few minutes later, Dick came back with some aspirin and water.
"Here, take this. It should help with withdrawal." She nodded, and took the pills, and drank the glass of water.
She brushed her teeth, and returned to the bed. She got under the covers, and tears slipped down her face.
He laid beside her, and wiped her tears off her face.
"Don't cry." Dick said, wrapping his arm around her waist.
"I'm sorry."
"Don't be, Rae."
They snuggled closely together until they both fell asleep.

"Robin?" Raven screamed, running through the house of mirrors. She arrived in a circle of mirrors, all showing Robin.
"Robin?" She asked, happy to see him alive.
The mirrors suddenly shattered at once, making her jump out of her skin.
She turned around, and there laid the boy.
"Robin? Robin? Wake up!" She cried, her knees failing her, and falling beside him.

Raven was screaming in her sleep, and gripping the pillow.
"Raven? Raven? Wake up!" Robin shouted, shaking her. Ravens eyes shot open, and she was breathing heavily.
"You're okay. You can sleep now." Robin reminded her, she got up, and ran to the bathroom. She threw up the last contents in her stomach, which made her have a headache.
She returned back to bed, and cuddled into him.

"You okay?" He asked, stroking her hair.
She nodded slightly, and began to fall back asleep.
