(duet between Raven and Robin)

Robin woke up to the sound of a beautiful melancholy melody.
Robin followed the melody, which led to Ravens room.
"When did Raven take interest in piano music?" He thought to himself, thinking it was a CD.
He exhaled, and put his hand on the door knob.
"Should I? She really doesn't like me going into her room..." Robin thought before turning the door knob.
He inhaled, and finally twisted the door knob. He couldn't resist the sound of the beautiful piano.
He opened the door, and peeked his head in.
What he could see in her dim room, was Raven playing the piano.
"When'd she get a piano?" He questions himself.
She was pouring her soul within the music. It was melancholy and depressing... but so magical and beautiful.
Robin walked to an oblivious Raven, and sat beside her on the piano bench.
Robin carefully pressed a key, making Raven jumped.
"I'm sorry." Robin said, with sincere.
She looked at him, and sighed.
She continued playing, and once in a while he joined in.
The notes were colliding into something deep.
They sped up the notes, adding high and low notes.
Robin made this little twinkle at the end, which made Raven smile gently.
"You sound beautiful." Robin said, at the end.
"Thank you. You sound lovely also." Raven said, her voice screechy.
"Thanks. I learned a while back ago."
"Did I wake you?" Raven asked, looking at him. Robin was oblivious, since it was so dark. He could see her at all.
"No-" Robin lied, trying not to hurt her feelings. "I couldn't sleep."
"Oh. Okay."
A few moments passed, until Robin spoke up.
"You should get some sleep."
Raven nodded. "Alright. Goodnight."
"Goodnight." Robin stood up, and slowly walked out.

Once he was gone, Raven stared at the piano keys and smiled gently.
She didn't feel like sleeping, so she grabbed her current book she was reading, "A Clockwork Orange."
She sat by her window, and read the horror.

"The important thing is moral choice. Evil has to exist along with good, in order that moral choice may operate. Life is sustained by the grinding opposition of moral entiti-"

Raven was so into the book, that she didn't realize that someone was knocking at the door. She also didn't realize it was 8:00pm.

"Go away!" She said, monotone.
"It's me, Raven." Robin said, hoping it would make her open the door.
Raven walked to the door, and put
her hand on the door knob. She hesitated, but finally creaked the door open, and peeked her head out.
"You should come down and eat breakfast with us."
"No."
"Please?"
"No."
"It'll make you feel bett-"
"I said NO!" Raven finally snapped, making her demon eyes appear.
Robin frowned, taken back.
She calmed down, and sighed.
"Have Cyborg bring my breakfast up here." And with that, she slammed the door shut.
Robin sighed, and began to make his way to the kitchen. Why was she so confusing? Why can't she show any more emotion expect anger and monotone? Robin knew there was more too her... why can't she let her walls down? Has the walls been there so long, vines grew and the vines need to be cut down?
Robin reached the kitchen.
"She says bring her breakfast up there for her, Cy." Robin said.
Cyborg nodded, prepared the meal, and walked to bring it to her.
"What's wrong with her?" Beast Boy asked.
"Nothing's wrong with her, Beast Boy." Robin said plainly, even though he knew it was a lie.
"Come on... she's been more... creepy lately."
"She's not creepy, Beast Boy." Robin snarled at his comment.
"Okay... maybe not creepy was the right word to use. More... depressing." Beast Boy said, changing his words carefully
Robin cringed at the word.
"We can't just sit around here, and let it happen Robin. Someone needs to take charge."
Robin had to admit, he was right. They were just sitting around, not talking to her about it. What if it led to something more? Robin shook the idea out of his head, and nodded.
"I'll talk to her today. Why don't you, Starfire and Cyborg go to a movie or something, today?" Robin said, more as an order.
Beast Boy nodded, and got up to tell the other.

30 minutes had passed, and the 3 Titans had just left. Robin exhaled in nervousness, and got up. He slowly walked to Ravens door, and knocked.
A few seconds, someone opened to the door slightly. He saw her one eye, peaking through the creak of the door. He saw how lifeless and dull they were, and that saddened him deeply.
"Can I come in?" Robin asked, eager to talk to her.
"No."
"Raven. This is important. Please let me in your room. We need to talk."
She hesitated, but opened her door a little wider.
She walked by herself, and sat on her bed.
Robin came in, and took a moment to look around.
The walls were painted black, and there was a book shelve on the farthest wall. Her bed comforter was a dark maroon color, and her piano was on the right wall. Robin also noted how there were fake roses along all the walls, candles everywhere, and how there was a liquor cabinet.
"You drink?" Robin asked.
"Sometimes." Raven answered, honestly. Robin nodded, and sat on the dark maroon bed.
He picked up the book that was laying on the bed.
"Clockwork Orange. One of my favorite." He said, smiling.
"Yeah. I'm almost done with it. It's really good so far."
He sat down the book, and looked at her.
"Raven, we need to talk."
"I kinda figured."
He sighed, and prepared himself.
"What he did to you..."
"I don't want to talk about it."
"Then let me talk!" Robin said, harshly.
Raven sat there, scared of what he was about to say.
"You're depressed, Rae." He said, with pain filling his voice.
"No I'm not."
"Yes you are. You can talk to me, Raven."
"There's nothing to talk about. Now get out of my room."
"I will not sit here, and let you try to kill yourself!" Robin said, frustrated.
"Get out of my room."
"Raven... you're depressed because he left you. You're depressed because he used you. You're depressed because you think you're alone. But you're not... You've been inside my head, now let me inside yours."
"No..."
"Raven. Let your walls down. It's okay to show emotions. The other Titans are out right now... you can."
With that, Raven broke down and snapped. Robin hugged her strongly, and cradled her.
"H-he used me. He was the only one who didn't think I-I was a creep..." She managed to say within sobs.
"I don't think you're a creep."
"Y-you don't?"
Robin pulled away from the hug.
"No... No I don't. I think you're the most beautifulest person. God you're so perfect.."
Robin then pecked her gently, continually. One kiss after one, the love between them grew. Robin left a silent peck on the tip of her nose.
"I think you're the most fascinating human being. I think you're beautiful in your own way, inside and out. You're like midnight... dark and mysterious... but so beautiful and you just keep melting into it and staring at it. You got the darkness, and then you got the stars which are the little things, and then you got the bright big moon, Raven. And Raven, the moons your beautiful heart." Robin was then crying himself, and Raven was gently sobbing.
"Raven... you're the midnight."
She began to cry harder, and she snuggled into Robins shoulder.
"I don't want you to feel pain. A person like you doesn't deserve to feel pain." Robin cried, stroking her dark purple hair.
Robin realized Raven had stopped crying, and she was breathing slightly. He studied her breathing, and was thankful that it was there.
He picked up her frail body, and gently tucked her into bed. He kissed her forehead, but he didn't want to ever let go of her. He climbed into bed with her, and wrapped his arms around her, spooning her. He kissed the back of her head, and put his hand where her heart was. He smiled gently at the beat of her heart.
He smiled gently, and softly closed his eyes.
