The days had passed since the exchange of bracelets, and the memory of that day still lingered in his mind, putting him in a cheery mood. Cosmo was having a conversation with Shelly, their usual cheerful banter filling the air. Shelly had notice the smile on Cosmo's face, raises an eyebrow.
"Someone is in a good mood today," she observes with a small grin. "What's got you looking so cheerful?" He glances down at the bracelet on his wrist for a moment, a small flush spreading across his cheeks. "Just been doing some... thinking," he replies shortly, trying to keep his answer somewhat secret. Shelly grins mischievously before playfully bumps his shoulder.
"Oh really? What kind of 'thinking'?" she teases, her tone filled with curiosity. Cosmo rolls his eyes at Shelly's teasing, but can't help but chuckle. "It's nothing, really," he says, his voice dropping to a quieter tone. "Just... been thinking about things between me and Sprout, that's all."
Shelly's grin widens as she notices Cosmo's bashful expression. She nudges him again. "Thinking about 'things' between you and Sprout, huh?" She repeats, her voice filled with both curiosity and a hint of playfulness. "Care to elaborate on these 'things'?" Cosmo glances away, rubbing the back of his neck in slight embarrassment. "It's not a big deal," he insists, although his nervous demeanor says otherwise. "Just... things have been a bit different between me and Sprout lately. In a good way, trust me."
Shelly raises an eyebrow, she leans in closer, a sly smile on her face. "Oh, now you really have to give me details," she urges, her tone now filled with excitement. "How have things been different? Spill the beans, Cosmo!" Just as Cosmo is about to answer, his words are cut off by the sound of yelling from not far away. The voices of Vee and Sprout can be heard, yelling back and forth at each other. Cosmo and Shelly both turn their heads in the direction of the commotion, their attention quickly diverted.
Shelly's eyebrows furrowed as she listens to the argument between Vee and Sprout. "What's going on over there?" she wonders, a mixture of curiosity and concern in her voice. Cosmo own concern growing, steps forward slightly, trying to catch what Sprout and Vee were yelling about. "I have no idea," he replies to Shelly, worry beginning to show in his expression, "but I think we should go and see what's going on."
Without waiting for Shelly's response, Cosmo starts walking towards the sound of the arguing. Shelly quickly follows, her own curiosity and worry driving her to find out what was happening. Vee's voice is loud and clear as she calls out to Sprout, her tone filled with frustration.
"What's the matter, Berry Boy? Can't handle a little disagreement?" she sneers. Sprout's voice echoes through the air as he responds to Vee, his own irritation clear. "Oh, shut it, Outdated Tech," he retorts, his tone sarcastic. "Your old comebacks are about as original as your fashion sense."
"At least I have a better fashion sense than a walking talking berry," she scoffs. Sprout rolls his eyes at Vee's comment, clearly unfazed. He crosses his arms and responds, his tone dry. "And I guess it's better to be a walking berry than to be outdated technology. At least I can still function without needing an update every five minutes."
