Jisoo burst through the hospital doors, her eyes wild with desperation. The sterile scent of antiseptic filled her nostrils, and the bright lights made her head spin. People bustled around her, but Jisoo only had one thought: Lisa. Where is Lisa?

"Excuse me, where's Lisa — I mean, Lalisa Manoban?" she stammered breathlessly to the nurse at the reception desk.

The nurse's eyes softened as she recognized the frantic look of a loved one in distress. "She's in surgery right now, Ma'am. Please take a seat. The doctors are doing everything they can."

"Surgery...?" Jisoo's knees buckled, and she clung to the counter for support. Her vision swam as the nurse's words hit her like a punch to the gut.

"Yes, she was brought in with multiple stab wounds. She lost a lot of blood, but she's a fighter," the nurse continued, trying to offer some semblance of comfort.

"Who brought her in?" Jisoo asked, her voice trembling. "I need to thank them..."

The nurse glanced over her shoulder, and Jisoo followed her gaze to a waiting area where an older woman sat alone, her hands clasped tightly together as if in prayer. Jisoo's breath hitched. That must be the woman Lisa saved — the one who called her.

Gathering what little strength she had left, Jisoo walked over to the woman. Her steps felt heavy, and each one seemed to echo with the weight of fear and uncertainty.

"Are... are you the one who brought Lisa here?" Jisoo asked, her voice barely a whisper.

The woman looked up, her eyes red-rimmed and filled with gratitude and guilt. She nodded slowly. "Yes... I'm the one. She... she saved my life."

Jisoo sank into the chair beside her, her hands shaking as she clasped them tightly. "What happened? Please... tell me everything."

The woman's gaze softened with sorrow as she recounted the events — how Lisa had bravely intervened, how she fought to protect her, and how she had been gravely wounded in the process.

"She... she didn't have to do it. I was just a stranger, but she put herself in danger for me. I couldn't believe it... I owe her my life," the woman whispered, tears slipping down her cheeks. "I'm so sorry this happened. I'll pay for all the hospital bills and medicine, everything... It's the least I can do."

Jisoo's heart ached as she listened, feeling both pride and heartbreak for her best friend. Lisa had always been selfless, always putting others before herself. But this time, that selflessness had nearly cost her life.

"Thank you... for staying with her and for bringing her here. I don't know what I would've done if..." Jisoo trailed off, unable to finish the thought. Fresh tears blurred her vision as the weight of the situation settled over her.

The woman reached out, gently placing a hand on Jisoo's shoulder. "She's a strong girl. She'll pull through. Don't give up hope."

Jisoo nodded numbly, her gaze drifting to the door where Lisa was undergoing surgery. Each passing second felt like an eternity.

"Please, Lisa... fight for us. Fight for me," Jisoo whispered, her hands clasped together in a silent prayer.
