"What are you doing, Yazdan? Do it properly!" my cousin sister-in-law playfully shouted to Yazdan, who was struggling to apply haldi on me.
"Yazdan, stop!" I said, getting irritated with the haldi. And I started to tickle him
"Nahi na chachu" he said between his giggles
"Aur ye bhi loo!" I took an good amount of haldi and applied at his nose
"Bus bus ab uthao Ahad, go clean yourself, beta," Ammi said, chuckling. I nodded and got up to head to my room.
I opened my phone to check the time. My eyes drifted to the date.
Three days and one night until our wedding. I couldn't believe my tiger is finally going to be mine.
I couldn't express my happiness. It felt like a dream I never wanted to wake up from.
After having a good bath I ventured outside
As I stepped outside to see what was happening.
The house was filled with gossip and laughter, which was enough to hint that someone's wedding was about to take place at our home.
Suddenly Ithought to myself,
'Why don't I ask Ammi about Mariyah's number?'
But then my voice popped into my head,'Stop it. We're still not mehram to each other.'
However, in just three days, it will be my own wedding. I wonder if it's acceptable to ask now? I'm unsure. Maybe I'll inquire about it later.

"Naam kya likho??" The mehndi artist asked me with hard mischievous gaze and I could feel my cheeks are burning
"Ahad" I said, Ohh my racing heart
"Suno suno" I said quickly
"Mehndi mai Mila Dena- naam ko" I said
"Theek hai, jaise ahad ki dulhan bole" she said and smiled while I suppressed an smile with face beaming
"Ohoo, kya chal raha hai??" Di said while entering
"Mehndi chal rahi hai! Vaise how are you now??" I asked her
"I'm fine dont worry" she smiled and I nodded
"I've got an suprise to tell" she said as I looked into her eyes
"What is that??" I said in excited
"Suprise hai dumbo!" She said and jokingly slapped on my head as I pouted
"Jaakar ay chehra ahad ko batao. Usse lagta hoga 'cute'. Mujhe toh cringey dekh Raha hai" she said crossing her arms
"Dii yaarr--" my eyes popping out
"Haan Haan, aap bhi bata toh apna ay cringey face arhaan jiju ko. Une toh ay cringey face aur bi cringe dekh tha hoga" I said feeling proud at myself
"Nope. He could never" she said throwing an tight smile
"Bichare" I faked my voice hanging my head down
"Zyada bolo gi toh mehndi kharab kar dogi" she said
