╚══════════.✵.═╝Usually, waking up is a simple task for me; I'm a morning person after all. But today, I groaned when the first beam of sunlight hit my face. Picking up my alarm clock on my nightstand, I looked at the time. "Ugh, why is it so early?" I placed my clock back on the surface and slowly began to sit up.
I took the glass of water on my desk and gulped it down first, then I waltzed into the bathroom to brush my teeth and freshen up. After that, I opened my closet and selected my school uniform out.
Ugh! Another term at Westwood High Academy!
Last term was a rollercoaster ride filled with drama, so I'm hoping this term would be great for me. I got into a lot of trouble last term, both my studies and social life were at stake.
Let's not even talk about my love life!
Being the hopeless romantic I am, I've always wanted this perfect fairytale love story, but how can that happen if my crush is dating someone else?
Ivan Kingsley is dating Megan Uwaifo- The "rotteniest" girl with the "baddest" attitude at Westwood High Academy. Who also happens to be the head girl of WHA. The terms used aren't even enough to describe how insolent that girl is! Since I started attending WHA, Megan has always being a bully to me, and I always feel intimidated around her. Thinking of resuming another term just to face more humiliation and bullying, is really overwhelming
And my ex?
I don't want to go further!
I put on my white school shirt and wore my pop socks before wearing my navy blue school skirt. I hopped into my black Nike AirForce I wear to school. I let my goddess braids down and applied edge control on my baby hairs. After all that, I put on a little bit of make-up and a layer of lipgloss.
I'm ready.
"Oh, my textbooks!" I rushed over to my reading desk and stacked my textbooks in my bag roughly.
"Hurry up, Dami!" My dad's voice echoed through the corridors and my heart pounded. I hurriedly ran out of my room, dashed through the corridors and flapped my feets down the stairs.
The whole stunt was breathtaking, I literally couldn't stop panting. I stood before my dad and sister-- who was already dressed for school. She was all over dad because she's his favorite. I used to be mom's favorite, until she left us 5 years ago.... because of me.
"Daddy, please I need some more pocket moneyyyyy. Pretty pleaseee." Anita whined, using her cuteness charm on daddy.
Without hesitating, dad shoved his hand in his pocket and drew his wallet out. He opened his wallet and handed Two Thousand Naira over to Anita.
"Ahah? Just Two Thousand Naira daddy? What exactly will this do? This can only afford bottled water na." Anita said in an ungrateful manner.
The old man sighed and dumped Three Thousand Naira extra in Anita's ungrateful palms.
The moment he locked his gaze with mine, I thought he was going to give me some pocket change too, so I opened my mouth to greet him.
"Good Mor--"
"Get into the car immediately." he ordered me sternly, handing me 2K, without sparing me a glance.
Two Kay? Two freaking Kay? Now I'm starting to sound like Anita. Unfortunately, two thousand is my daily allowance, but since he increased Anita's own, I thought I'd get an increment too.
