╚══════════.✵.═╝Makayla and I rushed to the back, to sign up for the GPC. After the beautiful speech Megan gave, we finalized our decision- joining the Female Empowerment Club.
"This is the moment we've been waiting for" Makayla squealed when it got to our turn. "Automatic membership into Megan's clique, here we come!"
A beatific smile appeared on my lips, and we both walked closer to the secretary's desk- Sharon Okafor is the secretary.
"Hi," I waved excitedly. She looked at me from head to toe and blew a bubble with her gum.
"How may I help you?"
"Actually, we want to join this club," Makayla answered, jovially. Sharon looked at her sign up sheet and scrunched her nose.
"It's closed!" Makayla threw her head back in laughter, while Sharon glared, perplexed at her behavior. "C'mon, be serious. Oya, we want to sign up."
"I said it's closed!" She sounded more serious than earlier. "What part of- it's closed- don't you understand?"
I wasn't liking Sharon's abhorrent behavior!
"But why?"
"Because too many want to sign up, almost the entire school, but just few will be selected," she explained.
"Why would you people only select few? It's an empowerment program, so why can't everyone take part in it?" Makayla questioned in anger.
"Madam, don't yell at me," Sharon retorted rudely. "If you have a problem, tell it to the president."
"I'd rather tell it to the principal," Makayla threatened.
"Buhbye," Sharon waved at us. "Go and report, report cards! It's not going to change a thing, you've not been selected, so get that straight into your dumb skulls."
I had to hold Makayla back before she does something stupid. I get it, she's angry, so am I, but it's not going to change a thing. I pulled her out of the auditorium so I can talk sense into her in a secluded corridor. "You need to calm down-"
"Calm what?" She threw my hand away, breathing heavily. "Did you see the way Sharon was talking to me? Me? Makayla Kingsley?!"
"Sharon is a stupid girl, yes, but what's done is done- it is what it is." Makayla scoffed, folding her arms under her breast, fuming.
"All we can do now, is think of another plan or solution-"
"Wait!" Makayla halted me. "She did say- If you have a problem, tell it to the president- right?" I nodded in agreement. "Then we should go tell it to the president," she smirked.
"Eh? You mean Megan?"
"Who else? Don't forget she's my brother's girlfriend."
"So?"
"So, why wouldn't she help out her future sister-in-law? I actually waved at her one time like this, and she waved back!" Future sister-in-law? That's farfetched though.
"Makayla-"
"Trust me, it's going to work. I'm going to use the advantage of being Ivan's sister to whine her small, she'll definitely get us a spot in her clique."
Another idea that I doubt will work!
