California; Thunderhill Raceway Park.
Jackson's fingers gripped the steering wheel; suddenly his jaw went tight while his eyes were sharp and deadly as he glared daggers at the red C6 Chevrolet Corvette in front of him. He couldn't believe it. He felt betrayed, lied to—made out to be a fool! He thought they had a great time in Texas. He had put aside his pride and tried to fit into the wretched hillbilly lifestyle McCoy loved, and yet, what did he get in return? Disobedience.
He was literally losing it that he hadn't bothered to respond to McCoy's texts from this morning. Fuck, he wasn't planning on coming to the tracks to practice either, but just the thought of his lover being next to that shrimp noodle Ethan and the other racers, ugh—they just wouldn't stop making his blood boil. They were like flies, always hovering next to his precious, sweet Alpha. Was it so hard to leave what belonged to Jackson the fuck alone? Argh, he really needed to put on his main character energy and let those asshats know who owed Landon McCoy once and for all.
McCoy. McCoy. McCoy.
Jackson gritted his teeth as he pressed hard on the accelerator.
It had only been two days back since they returned from Texas, it only took McCoy one of those days to go out with Ray and that horny Omega Ethan—who, Jackson specifically told to stay the fuck away from his Landon. And that wasn't the worse of it, McCoy had been fucking drinking LIQUOR!!! What if something happened to their baby? Or worse—what if something happened to his Alpha??? Ugh, if only he could tell his lover that he was carrying their child, all of this would've been avoided. But he could not... because McCoy couldn't accept Jackson's love and loyalty. Yet he showed such kindness in Texas.
What was with these old people? Why did everything need to be so complicated?! All he wanted to do was to knock up the man he loved for the past fifteen—soon to be sixteen—years, so he could always be tied down to Jackson's side. Was that too hard to ask for?
If he would outright tell Landon he intentionally got him pregnant, the Alpha would lose it—he'd probably get rid of their baby, and never speak to Jackson again.
Jackson's car engine roared to life, and the car surged forward, skimming dangerously close to the track's edge. He swerved sharply, tires screeching as he maneuvered past Diego's car. His gaze was locked on McCoy's vehicle up ahead, every muscle in his body coiled with anger as he closed the distance between them. When he reached next to his lover's car, he looked at Landon with knitted eyebrows through his helmet; the older man's eyes were focused on the tracks, though. With a little effort, Jackson surged forth, leaving Landon behind.
When he arrived at the park earlier, Landon had already been there doing practice laps with Ray, Ethan, Dylan, and Diego. When Jackson joined, he had intended to just keep an eye on his lover, but his competitive nature got the best of him—and he wanted to remind Landon who was in charge. It would've taken him a lot of effort, he had thought, considering Landon won in Daytona; however, to his surprise, the old timer sucked balls today. He had lost to Ethan and Ray before Jackson took to the tracks, and it was no different when Jackson got on it either. He already capped McCoy three laps in—he had already technically won.
Something must've been on the old timer's mind for him to be this terrible.
As Jackson took another turn, he noticed Landon pulling into the standby area, already calling it quits. Instinctively, he slowed down because Ray and Diego pulled in next, and that cock-sucker Ethan joined seconds later. Since it wasn't a mandatory practice, everyone just came out for fun, so they stopped whenever they felt like it. They must've decided to call it quits.
