Chapter 1: Dragon's Beginning

Endless Void

"Where am I?"

A young boy finds himself floating around the vast and endless void, unaware of what is going on or where he is

"Where am I?"

The boy asks where he is but realizes that he is unable to speak

"I need to get out of here,"

The boy tries to move around so he can escape but soon realizes that he can not move his body. The boy tries once more to move, but a heavy pressure is holding him in place.

"If I don't get out of here, he'll kill me for sure,"

Eventually, the boy feels his body start to move even though he himself is not the one moving it. Soon, the boy finds himself floating with different pillars around him.

"W...What are those?"

The pillars that are circling around the boy appear to be made of different elements and materials. One of the pillars appears to be made of fire while another pillar looks to be made of water. There is also a pillar that is made of earth, and there is also a pillar that appears to be made of swirling winds or air. There is a pillar made of ice, a pillar made of plants, as well as a pillar that appears to be made of electric energy itself. There are two other pillars as well that are floating around the boy as well as one made of white energy and another made of a dark black substance.

"I...I don't want to be here,"

The boy continued to struggle to move so he could escape, but suddenly, a voice started talking in his head

"Listen, boy, and stop your struggle,"

The voice speaking in the boy's head was deep as well as loud and scared the boy

"W...Who are you?"

The boy looked around with his eyes and didn't see anyone that could be the source of the voice he was hearing

"Who we are matters not at this moment, you will learn of us very soon"

The boy still had no idea what was going on or who was talking to him

"I need to get out of here before something bad happens to me,"

"That pathetic meat sack won't be a problem for you for much longer as long as you get away and awaken your true power,"

The boy assumed that the voice was talking about his father, but he had no idea what it meant by his true power

"My true power?"

"You've only unlocked a fraction of your power which has kept you alive after everything you've been through, and once you fully unlock it and master it, you will be able to use all of our power as your own"

Hearing that, they boy became less fearful and more curious as to what the voice was talking about and what this power was that it said that he had

"Now wake up before that pathetic human truly kills you before you can reach your true potential,"

The boy was going to say something and ask the voice more questions, but before he could, something grabbed him from behind and pulled him backward

On the small island of Patch, just off the coast of the nation of Vale, the Xiao Long/Rose residence can be found. A small window that peers into the attic of the small two story house can be seen as well. Inside of the attic of the Xiao Long/Rose residence, there is a young boy fast asleep. Suddenly, a voice from down bellow wakes him up from his slumber.
