The Guardian Beast’s roar echoed through the clearing as it charged Kiryuu and Moona. Its powerful claws shredded the ground, and the air seemed to crackle with raw magical energy as the creature’s scales glowed brighter. Kiryuu could see the faint shimmer of a regeneration effect; it was healing almost as fast as the plasma shots hit it.

"This thing is tough," Kiryuu muttered, analyzing the data streams coming from his drones. "Its magical energy is off the charts. It’s regenerating faster than expected."

Moona’s eyes gleamed with excitement as she continued to monitor the beast. "The plasma isn’t enough to break through its magical defenses. We need a different approach."

Kiryuu thought quickly, adjusting the settings on his smartwatch. His technology had easily handled the smaller creatures in the forest, but this Guardian Beast was on a completely different level. It wasn’t just a physical threat; it was deeply integrated with the magic of the world, using it to enhance its strength and speed.

"I’ll handle the regeneration," Kiryuu said, formulating a plan. "Moona, can you tap into the local magical energy and disrupt its flow? If we can cut off its access to magic, I can finish it."

Moona smiled, her violet eyes flashing as she nodded. "Leave it to me."

Without hesitation, Moona stepped forward, raising her hand toward the beast. She wasn’t just an AI; she was designed to adapt, evolve, and, in this case, interact with the magical energy of Azure Planet. Her fingers glowed faintly, and streams of shimmering light began to swirl around her.

Kiryuu watched as Moona’s interface synced with the natural magic of the forest. She was analyzing the beast’s magical flow, pinpointing the source of its regeneration.

"There," Moona said, her voice calm and focused. "I’ve found its core—it's pulling magic from the tree behind it. I’ll sever the connection."

With a swift motion, Moona unleashed a wave of energy toward the tree. The glowing vines wrapped around the ancient bark snapped, and the magic that had been feeding the Guardian Beast was abruptly cut off. The creature roared in fury as its shimmering scales dulled, and its regeneration slowed to a crawl.

"Now!" Moona shouted, stepping back.

Kiryuu grinned. "Got it."

He activated a new sequence on his smartwatch, and the drones hovering overhead reconfigured themselves. Their plasma cannons shifted into railgun mode, focusing all of their remaining power into a single, concentrated shot. With a deafening crack, twin beams of energy shot out, striking the beast directly in its chest.

The Guardian Beast howled in pain as the beams pierced through its scales, tearing a massive hole through its body. It staggered back, its eyes wide with shock, before collapsing to the ground with a heavy thud. For a moment, the clearing was silent, save for the faint crackling of energy dissipating from the drones.

Kiryuu lowered his hand, deactivating the drones and letting them hover back to his side.

"Nice work," Kiryuu said, giving Moona an approving look.

Moona smiled, brushing her hair back from her face. "You too. Looks like we’ve still got the upper hand, even in a world like this."

Kiryuu approached the fallen beast, examining its massive body. It was a beautiful creature, in its own way—strong, powerful, and deeply connected to the magic of Azure Planet. But it had also been in their way, and Kiryuu wasn’t the type to back down from a challenge.

As he studied the beast, something caught his eye. Embedded in the ground near its body was a small, glowing object, pulsing faintly with magical energy.
