Boian
Lucy Evergreen.
The girl who did not run. The girl who told me no. I was not accustomed to being told no, vampires and witches alike never bothered. They knew I could make them do as I wished, and I could. My father was the first of our kind, Dracul was the first with our powers, and with his age they grew stronger, just like with me, and I was the only one descended from him. So, naturally it was strange to me, that a little half witch could tell me no. But that in turn made her absolutely fascinating to me, and the fact she did not run from here the moment her feet touched the property.
The rest of them all ran, and because they ran, they were not just killed on sight. They were all caught instantly and brought to me, normally kicking and screaming, and then I would drink them dry, ending their already short lives. None of the humans or half witches brought to me ever left here alive. Lucy was the only one who came into my house willingly.
I had looked into her past, saw all of her fondest and darkest memories. Took notes of who did and did not matter to her, where she was from, what kind of life she had lived. In the beginning she came from a traveling coven, the small company toted their lives around in wagons like the gypsies of old. They were a mix of witches and humans alike and trusted no one outside of their own group, this way they would not get sent to live with a larger coven and be separated. Everything was going fine until Lucy met her first vampire, her first stragoi actually. And in some ways, they were worse than even me, as they were all crazy in their blood lust.
Erik had her ensnared Lucy the moment she set eyes on him, and little did she know the truth of who he was. He was planning on attacking her coven with his own. They were going to enslave the witches and drink from and drain every human and half witch. All while Lucy was forced to watch everything that happened to her friends and family. Everyone she knew and loved was dead and it was all because she knew no better.
And even after her pureblooded witch lover screwed her over, she was pining for him. Aching for the coward who used her body, then left betrayed her.
"Monster." she called me.
Very well.
I leaned in close and purred into her ear, "If you are hoping for a knight in shining armor to come and save you, Lucy, I suggest you give up. No one cares that you are here." She sat up slightly, staring at me in confusion. "Anyone sent out here to me is meant to be forgotten. You were no one to your coven, you were no one to that boy, and you are no one even now."
Her brows furrowed in anger, hatred even. Good. It would be better for her if we remained enemies. Her hazel eyes never left mine as she contemplated what to say next, wondering how she should react, and I waited patiently to see what she would do. I could feel her sudden urge to bolt, to run. Then that feeling returned to anger and I smiled at her.
"Careful little witch, I do not suggest running now. Not when you have made it this far."
I stood up, towering above her as Lucy recovered from the impact my command had on her, breathing in through her nose and out her mouth slowly.
"What happened to the others?" she asked after a moment.
I didn't move from my spot in front of her, wondering why I couldn't force myself to walk away. "I killed them."
"Why."
"Because they ran, Lucy. They ran, they were caught, and I had to end their life." She flinched, sitting upright in the chair and turning to look from me.
The fire was the only light in the room, burning hot and bright, casting shadows over her earth worn, tan, freckled face and dark brown hair. The thoughtful pout on her face was driving me mad. I wanted to drag her mouth to mine, she couldn't tell me no if I wanted to kiss her. But I would not, no matter how much she appealed to me.
"I see." Lucy glanced at the now open windows, to the front door, then back at the fire.
"I told you; you were sent here to be forgotten. No one outside your coven elders know where you are, but they do not care about Lucy Evergreen."
"And you?" she looked at me, curiosity in her eyes, "Do you care about Lucy Evergreen?"
I narrowed my eyes at her, "No."
"No, of course not." her anger at me returned. "So why am I still alive?"
The real reason would shock her, "Because you didn't run, and I have tired of my own company."
"You could have kept one of the others alive to keep you company, why kill them?"
"They were not willing to be here."
"It might surprise you to know, but even I do not want to be here."
"Maybe not, little witch, but your will to live is stronger than your will to run."
"I could not leave even if I wanted to remember. Or have you forgotten the compulsion you used on me?" she crossed her arms over her chest, "No free will."
I suddenly found myself caging her into her chair, my face an inch away from hers as she leaned all the way back, trying desperately to move away from me. "Sit still, Lucy." her body instantly complied, going still beneath me. "Good girl."
The little witch bared her teeth at me as I looked her over, her eyes hard with hatred. "If you could only understand Lucy, you would not fight me on this. There is nowhere for you to go, there is no one looking for you. If you want to survive this prison you have found yourself in, then you need to behave. There is only you, and me in here little witch. But out there, they are watching, waiting for you to screw up so I am forced to end your life too."
Lucy looked at me puzzled, but I was not going to give her any more than that. We would both be in danger if she did not just do as I said.
"Do not give me another reason to do so before they choose for me."
"Why does it matter? You said I was dead either way." she tilted her head slightly, her throat even more exposed to me.
I couldn't help but run my nose along her neck, inhaling her sent, "You are, but let us try to prolong your death just a little bit longer, shall we?" I asked and dragged my teeth across the tender part of her skin. Lucy inhaled sharply, and then nodded. "Good girl Lucy."
I sank my fangs into her soft skin, the warm coppery liquid filling my mouth instantly and she melted into me as I pulled her up from the chair and into my arms. Her taste was even better when she gave to me willingly. She would deny it of course, but I had not used compulsion on her to drink from her just now. Her hands tightened in my shirt, a moan escaping past her lips, and that was all it took for my cock to become rock hard.
My lack of female companionship all these years aside, Lucy's blood had done something to me. Awakened a part of me I hadn't felt in a very, very long time. And for once in my life, I was afraid. I was scared of the reaction my body had to hers, and I had a feeling this woman was about to shake up my whole existence.
I only hoped I could get us both out of here alive, so I could find out just how interesting Lucy Evergreen could be.
