Lucy
I wished I could sleep, but the feel of Boian's lips on mine wouldn't subside. What was supposed to be one little kiss had escalated into something I had not expected, and now I was frustrated and mad. I wanted to be mad at Boian at first, blaming his command to never tell him no would be easy. But, I knew that was not the case, I hadn't felt the influence of his compulsion before I kissed him, that was all me and I had wanted it. Treacherous body.
And yet, I had not been disappointed, kissing Boian was everything I knew it would be. What I did not expect or want was to embarrass myself by rubbing against his leg like a horn dog.
I tossed and turned for a long time, trying in vain to quiet my racing brain, before I was finally able to doze off for what felt like only minutes, then waking to the sun starting to set. As much as I wanted to, I couldn't go back to sleep so I decided to get up and shower before going to the kitchen for some food.
The sun was almost down as I stepped out of the shower, and the anxiety of expecting Boian after the sun set, was almost too much. I didn't want to see him just yet, hoping to be left to my own devices for a while longer but the promise in his voice when he said he would see me at sun down let me know that he meant it. He would be here at sundown whether I was ready for him to be or not.
I threw on a baggy tee shirt and leggings, brushed my hair out, and threw it into a messy bun before I headed down the stairs to the kitchen. My stomach was a growling mess by the time I made it down stairs and to the fridge, but nothing really sounded appetizing as I stared at its contents. Eventually I opted for a pb and j and a glass of milk. The kitchen had sliding glass doors leading to a small back patio and I took my sandwich and milk out to eat there, watching as the sun set behind the mountains.
A light breeze blew across the patio, sending a chill down my spine, and I suddenly felt like I was being watched. I looked around the surrounding woods, suspicious of the wolves that I knew were out there. I wasn't sure how far onto the property they were able to venture onto but I figured the closer to the cabin I stayed the safer I was. As if they knew I was looking for them, two wolves stepped into the tree line, and they were definitely looking right at me. The two of them paced back and forth watching me as I finished my sandwich and downed the last of my milk. I knew by the way they watched me that it was a good idea that I stayed close to the cabin.
Deciding it was best to go inside before it got any darker I grabbed my things, going back in through the sliding glass doors. Closing them I turned around and ran right into a solid form, dropping my plate and glass, both of them shattering as they hit the tiled floor.
"Damnit." I cursed my clumsiness and looked up to find Boian standing in my way, seemingly undisturbed by his broken dishes.
Heat rushed my face and I quickly looked away, I couldn't stand the way he was looking at me right now, and I bent down to gather the larger pieces of glass from the floor.
"Sorry, I didn't know you were going to be sneaking up on me like that."
He tilted his head and looked down at me, "what were you doing outside?"
"Eating." I said, standing and taking the broken glass with me to the trash.
He seemed to relax a little as he looked between me and the back door, then the glass on the floor.
"Leave it."
"I can't just leave it, I broke them and you could get cut on glass."
"My wounds heal almost instantly." He said, "You on the other hand could cut yourself, and I know for a fact that mortal wounds do not heal like mine."
