Pain

Each night, I sit alone, unraveling the weight
Of the day's relentless burdens,
Tracing the scars of trials endured,
My heart expanding, aching beyond its limits.

Shame wraps itself around me,
For dreams still unfulfilled,
Haunted by time slipping through my grasp,
The finish line an elusive shadow.

Yet, in the solitude of the night,
I recall each dawn's tentative hope,
Sweeping away the dust of despair,
Wiping away the tears of regret,
And I see the distance traveled.

I offer myself a silent praise,
For the mountains scaled, the seas conquered,
For the realms still untouched.
The journey remains unfinished—
You are enduring, and that is enough.
