The sun had been shining brightly over the sprawling Gotham City High School Campus; a section of a cloud covered the sun, giving the perfect temperature and coolness throughout the air, especially for the certain occasion. The first day of school, the day had marked into a certain girl's calendar, an entry of a journal she specifically bought to write about her first day of school, and she wouldn't stop nagging her two brothers about how excited she had been.
"I just can't wait. Do you think there will be new students?"
"Uh-huh. Yeah, maybe. Just hurry." The older brother had responded, his name had been Sergio, but commonly referred to Gio, or just G. Sergio had been brushing his teeth as he looked at himself in the mirror, beside him was Sofía Márquez, who was pulling her hair to different parts and directions to calculate which style would be cuter. After Sergio had spat out a big glob of toothpaste, Sergio then had whipped off the excess of the saliva mixed with a minty paste hanging off his mouth, almost as if something was calling him, he moved over to Sofía, moving behind the young girl as his wet hands tugged on her hair, watching as the young girl's face had transformed into a frown, but the man had looked down at Sofía, his eyes on her hair as he gently tugged two pieces to the front, braids. He mumbled out, audible enough for his sister to hear, but it was mostly a whisper to himself. Then the young adult moved his hands to the back of her head, grabbing a section at the top of her head, pulling her hair into a side bun, And then a bun.. Sergio adds on, his eyes glancing up over at his sister in the mirror, his eyes skimming over her now softened frown, his eyes moving back to his young sisters' hair as his hands combed through the young girls dark locks looking over at the fade of brunette that had been just at the bottom of her hair. And leave the rest out.
The young girl's tension seemed to ease as her brother brushed his fingers through her hair. Her face formed into a pout as she felt the water touch her hair. Eventually, her eyes had widened slightly, as they were no longer narrowed in disappointment. She let out a sigh of relief, feeling the anxious feeling pass through her as her brother ran his fingers through her hair as if he was cracking a yolk. Sofía had looked up into the mirror, watching as her brother's hand landed on her shoulder, the grip firm, yet not at all harmful. That's just who he was.
"It's cute. I'll change it a bit, maybe like.." Sofía had respond after a moment of thought, her voice soft as she seemed to be still in thought, her hand grabbing the left section of her hair which had pushed to the front, tucking it behind her ear as her eyes trained on her movements, her expression full of anticipation and curiosity, Sergio had groaned, the annoyance clear inside of the young adults voice. Quickly, it replaced as Sergio crouched over slightly, placing his chin on the young woman's head, looking at his younger sister in the mirror, speaking up with a tone of compassion.
"You know, you look pretty anyway, Sof. But, if you're asking me, I'd say my way." Sergio had added, his words spaced as his tone turned into a teasing tone once his words ended, moving up so his chin was no longer hovering above the young girls head, taking the opportunity of free space to ruffle his sisters head, causing her to let out an annoyed, yet obviously playful groan, Sofía had tilted her head, shutting her left eye once her brothers hand finally left her hair, leaving a static mesh on top of it, quickly with urgent hands, Sofía had moved to flatten the top of her hair once her brothers hand flew off her, the pout still covered on her face, more visible because of her look of distress, as her hand went to reach to switch on the faucet, the young girl caught a glimpse in her reflection, her eyes scanning over the apologetic look her older brother had his eyes, although she never really got the idea of why he looked at her with such eyes all the time, she assumed it was just an expression of a apology. After a moment of trying to study his look, she eventually gave him, giving the young adult a gleam, although once she opened her eyes from being closed by her smile, he was no longer there in-front of her. Because of this, Sofía just let out a hum of disappointment mixed with amusement before dunking her head into a running sink.
