I glance around the room trying to find a seat somewhere when Hinata calls me over with a grin on his face. Next to him sits Bokuto, tsukishima, yamaguchi, the two toned hair boy, and..kuroo.
I sit with Hinata on my right and Bokuto on my left, opposite the now too familiar black haired captain.

"Hey guys,"

"Y/n, you should come practise with us tonight! You were going to show me a few of your ice moves, right?" Hinata chimes, momentarily stopping the constant stuffing of his face.

I immediately start laughing, placing my bowl down on the table. "Ice moves? They aren't called that, Hinata. My coach would probably be offended if she heard that,"

He blushes a little, and Bokuto quirks his head in my direction. "Oya?—What sport do you play?"

I smile at the owl-headed boy, glancing down to my soup and bread. I slowly take a bite, biting my tongue to stop myself from downing the whole bowl. "I'm a figure skater,"

"Woah! That's so coal!" His eyes light up in a determined grin. I hum back at him, a genuine smile on my face. I love speaking about my sport, it's somehow my favourite and least favourite thing about me— because I love it so much, but i I also want to be better. I know I can be better- I just need to work harder. I wish I could have started when I was younger.

I tune out the others conversations as Hinata refills his plate and then begins explaining to me the plan for tonight. I ignore the looks I get from
Kuroo.

After dinner— which I desperately wanted to finish but wouldn't allow myself to, Hinata guides me over to a the entrance of the gym where a small group of people are gathered around. He tells me that they are going to split into pairs and do 1 in 1 drills for a little while—and that after that he wants me to teach him a few moves, I agreed since it might help with his stability.

I look to my right and notice that from across the court where two or so pairs had started setting up the nets, Kuroo is glancing over at me. I feel my heart pulse in my chest, and force myself to turn my gaze downwards. I take my check board and begin to write everyone's names down.

In the end, I have a list that includes Hinata, tsukishima, Yamaguchi, Kuroo, Bokuto and the boy I now know as kenma— although he doesn't appear to be very interested, as he's hunched over on his phone against one of the benches waiting for the court to be set instead of helping them.

At some point Kenma gives up on setting and just decides to go collapse near the door. We leave him to it, but now we have an odd number. "Y/n, you should join me,"

I look up at Kuroo in shock, the look on his face is very much teasing, yet his eyes hold warmth. "Your joking? You'd loose right away, the only thing I can do is receive."

"No? Try It, I'll even show you how to hit my set."

I give him a skeptical look. Me, play in a 2 on 2 practise match? "Fine, but if we loose don't blame me."

"Great! Come here." He stands behind me and lifts my right arm up— I can feel his chest pressed against me. "When the ball is directly infront of you, hit it like this. Your aim doesn't need to be perfect, if you can't get it through then aim for the tips of the blockers fingers— thats called a one touch, but im guessing you know that already. Okay?"

I nod, getting into place.

After 3 sets, we didn't win against Tsukishima and Yamaguchi. However, shockingly enough I did somehow score a fair amount of points against them- thanks to the advice I received at the start and the fact Kuroo was so experienced.
