In the vast halls of the Sanctuary, the echo of footsteps on polished stone always seemed to carry a sense of purpose. These halls had seen the rise and fall of countless Hunters and Dolls, but none had risen so quickly through the ranks as the newly formed Team 9: The Horizon Guard.

At the head of this team stood Rowan, a young but determined Hunter who had shown remarkable potential during his time as an apprentice. His raw talent, combined with a natural leadership quality, had caught the eye of the Advisors. They saw in him the spark of greatness, a spark that could be forged into something extraordinary.

Beside Rowan stood Sophie, a calm and collected Doll whose expertise in protective wards and defensive tactics had earned her a reputation among her peers. Unlike Rowan, who thrived in the chaos of battle, Sophie was methodical, always thinking several steps ahead, ensuring her team was protected from the worst the void had to offer.

Their Nokorii, Whisper, was a shadowy figure, sleek and agile. Whisper had a knack for disappearing into the fog, moving silently through the battlefield, and providing crucial support when needed. The spirit cat's sharp instincts and stealth made it a valuable asset, especially in reconnaissance missions.

Together, the three formed Team 9, tasked with missions that were often deemed too dangerous for less experienced teams but not quite on the level of S-Rank threats. They were young, eager, and driven by a desire to prove themselves.

The Advisors had high hopes for Team 9. In time, they believed this team could become one of the strongest in the Sanctuary—perhaps even rivaling legends like Cain and Alice.

The Early Missions: Proving Their Worth

Team 9's early missions were, by most accounts, successful. They were tasked with hunting down lesser void entities, clearing out smaller cursed zones, and dealing with rogue spirits that threatened the borders of the Sanctuary's influence.

One of their first major missions took them to a small, isolated village near the southern border of the cursed territories. Reports had come in of strange occurrences, villagers disappearing in the night, whispers in the dark that drove people mad, and the appearance of shadowy figures at the edge of the forest.

Rowan had been eager to lead his team into the unknown, confident in their abilities to handle whatever void entity lay in wait.

"We've got this," Rowan had said with a grin as they stood at the edge of the village, the setting sun casting long shadows across the landscape. "It's just another void entity. We've faced worse."

Sophie, ever the voice of reason, had raised an eyebrow. "Don't get cocky, Rowan. We don't know what we're dealing with yet."

Whisper let out a low growl, its fur bristling as it sensed the void energy in the air. The spirit cat's sharp senses were always the first to detect the presence of a void entity, and Whisper had been on edge since they arrived.
