Team 4, known as The Shadowblades, is one of the most elusive and deadly units within the Sanctuary. Masters of stealth and assassination, they are dispatched to undertake missions deep in enemy territory, where their precision and cunning allow them to neutralize high-priority void targets without detection. Specializing in silent strikes, sabotage, and subterfuge, the Shadowblades are often called upon to disrupt the void's plans before they fully manifest.
The Shadowblades use shadows to their advantage, blending into the darkness, making them nearly invisible as they strike before their enemies realize the threat. Their ability to manipulate shadows allows them to move through the battlefield unseen, and they even wield the void's energy against it. Their deadly efficiency makes them one of the most feared units in the Sanctuary.
Led by the formidable and silent Kael, the Shadowblades also include Selene, a master of illusions and shadow magic, and their Nokorii, Shade, a sleek and deadly spirit cat that can meld with shadows. Together, they execute their missions with cold precision, eliminating targets without a trace.
Current Mission: The Black Moon Eclipse
During a rare celestial event known as the Black Moon Eclipse, the void attempted to corrupt the moon itself, turning it into a beacon of eternal night. If successful, the world would be plunged into endless darkness, a perfect environment for the void to thrive. The Shadowblades were dispatched to infiltrate the temple where the ritual was taking place and stop it before it was completed.
The Ritual Begins
Kael crouched on the ledge of the crumbling temple, hidden in the shadows. Below, void creatures surrounded the altar, their guttural chants filling the air as they channeled dark energy into the ritual. Above, the Black Moon hung ominously in the sky, casting an eerie glow over the scene. At the center of the ritual stood a towering void priest, channeling dark energy directly from the eclipse.
"We're running out of time," Selene's voice whispered through the communicator. "Once the moon is fully consumed, it's over."
Kael's eyes flickered with cold determination. "We strike now." He motioned to Shade, who stood at his side, its body shimmering as it melded with the surrounding darkness.
From her vantage point, Selene prepared her first move. "Shadow Mirage," she whispered, casting her hands forward. Around the void creatures, phantom versions of herself appeared—shadowy illusions that danced and weaved between the enemies, drawing their attention away from the altar.
The creatures roared in confusion, chasing after the illusions while the real Selene remained hidden.
Kael moved in tandem, dropping silently from the ledge and darting toward the void priest. "Phantom Edge," he muttered, summoning his twin blades, which shimmered with shadow magic. His body became a blur, melding into the shadows as he closed in on his target.
