"What are we doing again?" I said, annoyed as Will walked next to me down the street.
"I thought it'd be nice to get you some clothes, no?" he said then, gazing down at me with a small smirk. "All your clothes are so last year."
"Excuse me."
"Not for you to worry, though," he added, gazing back up at the direction we walked in. "I have a perfect style in mind."
"It better not be anything explicit," I said then, lashes lowering. "If it is, I'm not wearing it."
"Oh, no," he said then, smiling down at me, "far from it."
I watched him suspiciously for a moment before gazing further out into the distance. "Whatever."
He smiled in satisfaction as we continued walking.
"Oh, hey! You, there!" someone called from ahead, making both Will and I gaze up curiously.
A tall, broad man stepped up, smiling kindly. "Good day to you, madam! And you, sir! I was wondering if you'd like to try a product of mine."
Will remained silent.
"A product?" I said then. "What kind?"
"A medication, ma'am!" he said then, blinking. "Oh! Might I introduce myself? I am Vincent Carmen. CEO of the Pharma Psych Pharmacy. We've developed a new drug that helps with anxiety and depression and are working on sending it over counters! You just look so grim, so I thought it might suit you, ma'am."
I glared, growling in annoyance under my breath.
Will just chuckled a little. "I apologize, good sir, but my mistress is in no need for such drugs. She has me to keep her company. And also... she's allergic to human emotion, so better not give her any."
I gave him an annoyed look, but he just sent me an amused one.
"Oh, I see." He said then, nodding. "I appreciate you two letting me lecture you for so long. Have a nice day!"
He then skipped off.
I started walking again, and Will followed behind me.
I glanced back briefly to find his eyes trained on the man as he skipped off, and they were glowing a bright red.
"Is something the matter?" I said then.
He gazed down at me, still smiling. "No, nothing at all, madam."
"You're staring at him as if he's about to explode into confetti."
"He's just an odd figure, is all," Will explained to me.
I just stared back forward. "I suppose your suspicion of him is warranted. What kind of CEO goes about marketing a drug on a street? Especially knowing he stood there on his phone and came specifically to me once we rounded the corner. Very odd, isn't it, William?"
