Upon exiting the hospital room, Yibo made his way to his friends who were patiently waiting in the car at the hospital parking lot. They eagerly gazed at him, anticipating his return.

Chanyeol was the first to ask, "How's Zhan doing?"

Yibo sighed, "He's in pain now, but the doctor said his condition is stable and he would need one week's rest."

"How did it go? Did he agree?" Baekhyun inquired skeptically.

"Yeah.. After some persuasion from me and Junmyeon, he finally gave in and agreed on this fake boyfriend thing. This means that even if our seniors investigate about it later, there won't be any issues. Zhan's answer will be positive. So let's go meet with our seniors first."

Last night around 11.45 pm, the 2nd year engineering gang received a group video call from their fourth-year senior, Minseok. They were asked to provide an explanation for Yibo's fight with Ron at the bar's parking lot.

"If the circumstances were different, we, the seniors, would not be getting involved in your issue. However, it is well known to you all that the current situation has already created tension between our department and the Geography department. Your conflict with Ron has only added fuel to the existing hostility between our two departments." Minseok said in stern voice.

He went on to say, "If a similar conflict arises between you and the Geology department over the parking lot issue in the future, we, as seniors, can only help you if we understand the true cause of the fight."

"According to rumors, Yibo got into a physical fight with Ron in order to help a medical student who got hurt by Ron. Was that guy who was injured Yixing's boyfriend? " Minseok asked.

"No, he is my boyfriend. His name is Xiao Zhan," Yibo replied casually, causing the seniors who were on Minseok's conference call to gasp in surprise.

At that moment, the four of them discovered that all the engineering seniors were gathered with Minseok, attentively listening to their conversation.

"Your What!?!" Chen, one of the 4th year senior exclaimed, grabbing the phone out of Minseok's grasp.

"Zhan is my boyfriend and I engaged in the fight with Geology senior to defend him. Sadly, he sustained severe injuries and is currently hospitalized. We have been in a relationship for a month, with only our best friends aware of it." With his distinct icy tone, Yibo gazed directly into his senior's eyes as he spoke.

"In case you require additional clarification, the four of us will personally arrange to meet with you tomorrow morning as we are extremely exhausted right now." Yibo stated, without providing any additional opportunity for the seniors to question them..

Baekhyun, Chanyeol, and Yixing nodded and made a conscious effort to keep their faces neutral.

Despite having already discussed about the plan for Yibo to pose as Zhan's fake boyfriend in order to keep him safe, hearing Yibo himself say the word "boyfriend" made them cringe inwards.

So right now they are going to meet their seniors as they promised last night.

Chanyeol started the engine, and they all buckled up in silence, the gravity of the situation weighing on their shoulders.

As they pulled out of the hospital parking lot, the towering buildings of the university loomed in the distance, a stark reminder of the drama unfolding within its walls.
