Sarada's POV:❁

I woke to the soft chipping of the birds, I rubbed my eyes and tried to run my fingers through my hair. I gave up on the tangled mess pretty quickly.

Then I saw him.

He looked... unkempt.

Something inside me melted at the sight of him at my bedside; blonde hair sticking out everywhere and dark shadows under his eyes standing out sharply. Concern clinged to his every feature, but he had never looked so beautiful.

His arm is still draped over my waist, his grip tightening slightly as he stirs behind me. "Morning," he mumbles sleepily, his voice deep and groggy.

"Morning," I whisper back, turning my head to glance at him.

He smiles lazily, brushing a strand of hair away from my face. "You look beautiful," he says softly, his hand resting on my cheek.

I roll my eyes, though my cheeks flush at his words. "No, I'm sure I look like a mess."

I can see him gritting his teeth.
"Yes, you do," he says, pulling me closer and pressing a soft kiss to my temple. "But that doesn't change the fact that you're unbelievably beautiful."

"Mhm enough with the compliments." I say my voice quiet as I shift a little in his arms.

"What time is it?"

He groans. "Too early," he mutters, burying his face in my shoulder.

I laugh softly, the sound muffled by the pillow. "We should get up."

Boruto sighs, his grip around my waist tightening for a moment. "Just one more kiss."

"No."

I try to sit up, but the moment I move, my body protests. A sharp pain shoots through my legs, and I wince, clutching the sheets. Slowly, I swing my legs over the side of the bed, hoping I can stand, but as soon as my feet hit the floor, my legs buckle.

I stumble, grabbing onto the edge of the nightstand for support, but my knees give out completely. My body feels heavy, sore, like every muscle is stiff and aching.

"Shit." I mutter under my breath.

"Would you look at that?" I hear Boruto chuckle. Damn him. "Can't believe I did that."

"Shut up."

"You'd like that don't you?" He threw his head back, leaning it against the headboard. "Too bad."

"Are you always this annoying in the morning?"

"What can I say, I had a pretty good night." He winked.

"Goodbye, Boruto."

I threw on my fit from yesterday, since my clothes are still lying at home.

Right. Mom.

I huffed, trying to shake off my thoughts.

"You're going training aren't you?

"Yeah."

"Can I come with?"

I nod.

"Oh and sarada," He threw on his clothes, rolling up his sleeves. "I didn't hurt you last night, did I?"

"Aside from the fact that my legs are sore," I crossed my arms, "No, don't worry."

He exhales slowly, relief washing over his face. "I'm glad," he murmurs, standing up from the bed, our faces just inches apart. "I just wanted it to be right for you. You know I would've waited, if you wanted."
