I, Saturo Megumi, was just your average middle-aged guy-well, maybe with a bit of an eccentric streak and an eidetic memory. "Fancy words for being smart," I often told myself, though no one ever seemed to listen. But who cares? They didn't need to. Life had been rolling along, mediocre as ever, when my junior, Kuwabara, decided to flaunt his new girlfriend in my face. Yeah, rub it in, why don't you? As if my singleness wasn't already sad enough.
So, there we were, walking along the sidewalk when some maniac with a knife rushed at us. Before I could process it, I shoved Kuwabara out of the way, and the blade sank deep into my chest.
"Mission failed successfully," I thought, gasping for air. In the chaos that followed, all I managed to croak out was, "Kuwabara, burn my PC! Please, I'm begging you-burn it!"
Then, everything went dark.

When I regained my senses, I was floating in the void-empty, cold, and endless. No afterlife, no heaven, no hell, just... nothing. I must've been here for hours. Maybe years. I couldn't tell anymore. Then, just as I was about to lose my mind, I was suddenly whisked away into what looked like a castle's living room.
"Okay, what the hell is going on?" I muttered, glancing around the lavish room. My confusion only deepened when a figure in royal attire appeared before me.
"Welcome, mortal," he said, voice regal and booming. "I am a god of your world."
"Oh, great. Just my luck," I said, rolling my eyes. "I die and get an audience with one of the 'great gods.' You can read my thoughts too, huh?"
"Indeed," the god said with a chuckle. "I'm here to fulfill the last wish of the god Veldanava. You, Saturo Megumi, have been chosen to reincarnate into the world of Tensura. But first, we'll need to go over the details."
He explained the concept of skills, resistances, races, and everything else that made Tensura tick. Apparently, I had a chance to pick some skills for myself and create new ones too. The catch? I couldn't wish to be a True Dragon, or so he said.
"But I can wish for more skills, right?" I asked, already formulating a plan.
"Yes," the god responded, growing suspicious. "Why?"
"Great. I wish to become a True Dragon."
The god's eyes narrowed. "I just told you that-"
"Yeah, yeah. I know. Just grant me two skills since my wish can't be fulfilled."
His expression soured as the contract sealed itself. "You... really did that."
"Well, if you're going to stick me with all these rules, I've got to make the most of it, right?" I smirked. The banter continued until I had earned myself a grand total of 40 unique and extra skills. The god looked like he was ready to hurl me back into the void out of sheer frustration.

With all the power at my fingertips, I made my choices. "Alright, give me all the basic, extra, and unique skills you've got. I'll also take these..."

"That looks cool," I thought, envisioning a pair of crimson, cosmic looking eyes.
