Metallic Madness

Little Planet only appeared once a year normally the event is met with fanfare as it is seen as a symbol of a good harvest by the local villages, but this year the local townspeople have contracted the Fairy the Tail guild to free the celestial body from its captor, this was why Erza Scarlet a 15-year-old red Mobian Hedgehog was currently eyeing the gigantic chain that connected the small planet to nearby mountain that had a strange carving of a moustached man, "it would be easiest to just destroy the chain and say the job was done, but I don't think that's quite what the townspeople meant when they said to free the planet" Erza sighed as she looked at the new metallic surface of the planet, Erza got up and started running towards the chain intending to use it to access the surface of the planet and put a stop to whatever evil had infested it

The suface of the planet didn't look any better up close, what was once lush green forest was now a maze of metal pillars with robotic automatons around every corner they were no match for Erza's blade but they were a worrisome sign for things to come, as Erza turned a corner she was hit to the ground, looking up she saw not another metallic monster but a blue hedgehog also getting up from the ground

"hey watch where you're going will ya" the blue hedgehog snarked he looked around Erza's age but was slightly shorter than her

"excuse me, you where the one not looking where the were going" Erza could already tell this hedgehog had a difficult personality, "and what are you doing here anyway can't you see it's not safe, im here on an official Fairy Tail quest and im not going to get side tracked babysitting some lost adrenaline junkie"

"I'm not here just for the thrill of it, I'm here to put a stop to Robotnik's plan" the boy huffed crossing his arms

"you know who's behind all this?" Erza asked thinking any information is better than what she's working with even if had to come out of this guy's obnoxious mouth

"yeah Dr Robotnik, I've wrecked one of his attempts at building up an army before, but mechanising an entire planet is a big step up for the doc" the blue hedgehog explained

"well if you're experienced in taking this doctor down then i'd be stupid not to work with you on this one" Ezra sighed reaching out her hand "I'm Eza Scarlet a wizard from Fairy Tail"

"hehehe nice to meet ya Erza, name's Sonic,i don't care for guilds but i don't mind if you tag along just try to keep up" Sonic laughed as he shook Eza's hand and then sped off leaving Erza coughing up dust

"ugh jerk" Erza mumbled under her breath as she ran after the blue hedgehog

After a lot of running and smashing badnicks the newly formed duo had set up camp for the night, Erza looked up at the tall mechanical structures that dotted the landscape as she stoked the fire, "how did this place end up like this, surely this Robonik person couldn't have built all of this himself" Erza asked hoping she could Lear more about their foe from Sonic

"he has a technique that can turn organic life into machine , he calls it robotisation, i've seen it before but the doc's really outdid himself this time, taking him down is the fastest way to break the curse" Sonic explained as he lay beside the fire

"this man sounds incredibly dangerous, how come I've never heard of him before?" Erza asked thinking surly a man capable of such feats would be more well known if he was using them for nefarious purposes

"the egghead likes to keep a low profile, he doesn't want to reveal himself till he's confident his army can protect him, i have a feeling he feels safe enough now if he's pulling off something of this scale" Sonic explained as he let out a yawn

"you seem to know an awful lot about this Dr robotnik's inner thoughts, why is that?" Erza asked suspicious of the blue hedgehog's relationship with the mad doctor
