Chapter 2: Shaken of hatred

(Ella's POV)

(Moments before the accident)
I Arrived at the house. My little sister, Eva was doing the usual, cleaning the house while my dad sat on the couch drinking, everything has changed since mum left. I've been filling in most of her responsibilities including working and looking after my sister. I went upstairs carrying on with my daily purpose, to work. Until I heard a scream and a thud, I was going to rush down, but my dad stopped me as he yelled "DON'T YOU DARE MOVE".I ran back to my room, anxiety and fear filled my head, at that moment I struggled to breathe only for a minute before I could hear the thuds of my dads foot and the crackle of the belt. He was drunk, so I rushed to the corner, until he found me.

I was hit profusely until I heard knocks from the front door, I didn't know who it was, my head spun before I felt the next sting of pain rush. I was about to lose my step until someone stopped me. The guy who trapped me and almost ended me in which I wanted him to. I flinched as he yelled, why is he saving me? Before I had my next thought, I was grabbed and rushed into the car. I lowered my head, not seeing where I laid it, but more so that I just drifted off to a deep sleep. I could careless of what happened from then but all I knew was that I woke up just before the car stopped. He grabbed me again and carried me into a large white building, I was too tired to see where.

I regained my vision,I looked around and saw a white room. I didn't realise that suddenly the memories from what happened rushed back to me, I didn't know what was happening so I just bolted upright and started screaming. "EVA! EVA, WHERE'S EVA?" The guy from before was next to me, holding my hand. I was terrified but I took a breath before asking"What am I doing here? What did you do to my sister? Is she okay?" I wanted to ask so much more,like why he helped me and what happened to my dad. "You're in the hospital and your sisters safe, she's in the room next door." I was relieved at what he said. For most of my life I had longed for the day I was safe from my dad, but I had feared more than anything I was gonna lose my sister because of that monster.

"Thank you for saving me, I thought you actually were going to kill me." For the first time in years I smiled and for the first time in years I was safe, and so was my sister. I don't know how he found my house or got in, I probably left the door unlocked again. I didn't care, all I cared about was that for some reason he made me feel safe. I tried to keep feeling comfortable for as long as possible. In doing so I found comfort in holding his hand, which was shortly breached before I let go. He looked up at me and then looked down as he tried to reach for my hand again.

"I saw your necklace when you fell asleep" Shit. I didn't tell him my name. "Great, you know my name." He chuckled. "I'm Elias" The way he said his name took me into a world of my own. I knew his name, I've heard it before, but where? He walked out to get a doctor to tell them to begin what they needed to conduct, he then walked back in. "When can I see my sister? I'm sure she's worried for me and I wanna see her." My eyes glossed over as I began to worry. "You can see her as soon as she's woken." He reassured me, which I wasn't used to. He came over and gave me a hug as I buried my head in the crook of his neck. "I'm sorry you had to see this." I said with pauses in between my words. I felt upset and a thousand other emotions as tears dropped down my red stained cheeks, at this point I let it all out, I wasn't in the mood to fight against it. "I'm here for you, you're okay, everyone is safe." The reassurance kept me at ease as the last teardrop rolled down my face before he wiped my eyes and I clung onto him. Nothing was going to ruin me YET, The doctor did everything and I was later taken to Elias's as I had nowhere else to go.

It was the next day and Elias let me visit Eva who was still recovering, he told me he paid for her and that they are doing all they can. I am confined to my bed until further notice. I was happy with Elias, he went to work that day but called me and kept his guards in the house in case of emergency. His one personal guard 'Alex' was very nice and offered to get my stuff from my house, of which I refused and said I wanted to wait till Elias got home. Me and Elias were starting to bond quite well since the incident. Elias apologised for what he did when we first met in return that I cut off all contact with my Dad which I instantly did. I became clingy to both Eva and Elias, never once turning the favour to leave them alone. Somewhere in the day, one of the guards had taken Eva to Elias's and set her in one of the rooms.

Elias came home after work and instead of rushing to his office as he would, he came rushing over to me. I was embraced in a tight hug before he muttered something. "Ti amo, bella" ("I love you, beautiful") I had a slight idea of what he said. "Is Eva up? I want to talk to her." he nodded. Trying to hold me for ages, as I walked out of his hold and stepped into the other spare room. I walked over to Eva and gave a big hug before tucking her hair swiftly behind her ear. "Get some rest, I will be downstairs." I said as I smiled at her, I could tell it cheered her up ever so slightly.

I walked over to the walk-in pantry full of snacks. I couldn't see anything I recognized so I grabbed something at random. It was a packet of wafers, the name seeming to be in a foreign language. Elias was behind me. "Stalker much." I said. I shivered at the short distance between us. His blue eyes gazed at me before looking down again. "You're in my house" he said with a stern look. He whispered something quietly. "Our house." I could see the slight smirk on his face. "Any reason for you to be smirking like that, you're giving me the ick." He laughed. "And what may 'the ick' be?" I giggled. "Oh you know just, yk what nevermind" I caved in again, I'm not sure why but I couldn't. "Oh come on just tell me, I'm sure it's nothing stupid" Yeah right it's nothing it's stupid... "Oh uhm nevermind you know what, how was work?" I tried to change the subject but the mission failed. "I won't answer till you answer my question, Bella." 

I was luckily saved when Eva came down."Hey Eva, everything alright?" She looked up at me, her scars were doing much better but had still been engraved into her skin. "Ella I'm scared, monsters are under the bed and I can't sleep." I wanted to laugh but I didn't. "I'm sure there's no monsters, don't be scared though." I walked back up the stairs with Eva into her room, I checked under the bed and then I shook my head, before slowly tucking her in. "If any monsters try to hurt you, you yell for me, okay?" She nodded as she let her eyes close. I smiled at her as I walked back to Elias and we sat on the couch, staying up all night watching my favourite movie that I never got to finish.

It had been a few hours, I had fallen asleep on Elias's lap and to my surprise when I woke up, I was still on his lap and he was sound asleep. We must have fallen asleep for hours as it was night and now the sun has risen and Eva was up. "Everything alright Ev?" I whispered. She nodded. "Ella, when can we go back home?" Hearing the word 'home' made me want to tear up. "Oh I'm sure we can go soon." I couldn't tell her the truth, not yet at least.
