Chapter 4: Escapee

(Elias's POV)

"My hand is feeling really heavy, it would really help for you to hold it." I said to Ella as we got up from the couch, taking Eva to the park. I didn't mind as it got me away from work and closer to Ella. The park was only a 5 minute walk from my house.My guards surrounded us at all times along with a few staying back, to protect our house. "Here we are, the park." I smiled as Eva ran towards the playground. Me and Ella sat down on the nearest bench. "I'm going to go get coffee. I'll be back. Just call if you need anything." I slowly walked off as I heard a small sigh from her. "You want to go with me?" she nodded and raced up towards me. "Who's gonna watch Eva?" she asked. "My guards can, they will keep us safe." I reassured her.

We walked towards the shop. I had ordered a coffee, Ella ordered something for her and Eva to share. I tried to pay for myself, but stumbled when Ella quickly paid, even though I insisted on paying but of course she had to have her way. We walked back but before I could sit down, Cam called me. "SI? cos'è adesso? Sono occupato." (Yes? What is it now? I'm busy)  I was shocked, what did I just hear? I ran over to my guards as Ella ran with me cluelessly. "E' fuori. Porta Ella ed Eva a casa ORA." (He's out. Take Ella and Eva home NOW.) "Listen to me Ella, my guards are gonna take you to my house with Eva. Lock the doors, DO NOT under any circumstance, leave the house, okay?" She nodded and hugged me before grabbing Eva's hand and walking with my guard.

I had got my other guard to bring a car down as I sped towards my work. "That Fucker, if he so lays a hand on her, I will kill him." I said and I meant it. She deserved the world and he was taking it away from her. As soon as I got to the building I pulled the emergency trigger, letting me in instantly. "GUARDS, SURROUND THE BUILDING AND I WANT ALL FILES OFF GINO PULLED, where is Cam!" I ran out frantically in search of Cam. "I'm here boss, what's going on." He was looking down at his phone. "HE'S OUT, GINO'S OUT! SOME FUCKERS LET HIM OUT!" I paced around the building, going through cell to cell, questioning anyone and everyone who knew Ella or Gino. "ANYONE FOUND GINO'S FILES! I WANT THEM NOW! OR AT LEAST HAS HIS LOCATION, OR ANYTHING, I'M NOT STOPPING TILL HE'S DEAD!" I was panicking, not for my sake but for Ella and Eva. "BOSS CALM DOWN, WE WILL FIND HIM, GO HOME AND BE WITH ELLA, I'LL CALL YOU WITH UPDATES." I nodded, running up to the car and driving off home.

 
I reached my house with guards surrounding it. As I burst through my door, I found Ella and Eva sitting on the couch. "WHATS GOING ON! WHY DID I RECEIVE A TEXT SAYING 'IM OUT'.ELI I'M SCARED WHAT'S GOING ON" I grabbed the phone from her and looked at the text. He found her. I sent the number of the text to Cam. "You're safest here, my guards will be with you at all times. I can't say what I want to say to you in front of Eva." She nodded and calmed down slowly. "Hey Ev, I just need to talk with Eli, can you go to your room?" Eva nodded and walked off towards the spare room.

 
"I can't say every detail for security reasons but... your dad escaped.." I could see the look in her eyes as she grabbed onto me, water streaming down her face. "I'm sorry, we are doing all we can." She nodded and I carried her around while grabbing myself and her water. "It's safest that you don't leave, I know you need your stuff, Gino is unpredictable." I only used his first name because I knew the monster of him could never and won't ever be a REAL dad.
I tried my best the entire week to clear my schedule and stay with Ella and Eva as much as I could. "Everything alright Bella? You seem down, of course after the news but you seem sadder than before." I walked with her down the hall towards the door, she stood in her skinny jeans and white dress shirt that I let her borrow from my drawer. "My guards will be with us at all times, Eva will also stay with one of the guards." I opened the front door and waited for Ella to pass before shutting it again out of courtesy. I'd love the idea of her in MY clothes, but she was going to need her own at some point, not that I wanted her to.

Again as the gentleman I am, I opened her car door and waited for her to enter the black sports car I had managed to borrow from work. Being the leader of a mafia came with Pro's and Con's. I could borrow any car I wanted for as long as I wanted, but I had loads of paperwork to do EVERYDAY. The drive was only 5 minutes (Not including the non-stop going through traffic lights and horrible traffic.)

 
We arrived at the Mall as soon as he hopped out of the car, We had received many glares and stares our way. I had a weird feeling about this, but of course I didn't let that show, as it would worry Ella. We stopped at 2 different stores: Gucci and Tiffany and co. "You can have anything you want in here, I don't care about price, just get it." She smiled and instantly ran over to some of the expensive stuff. She had grabbed some really nice black shirts, matching pj's and some jeans from Gucci. "Your total comes down to $3,600." She smiled as I tapped my card. "Only the best for you." I said to her with a devilish grin. "Next store, I want to take you to a jewellery place to buy a necklace."

 
We walked across and around different places until we reached Tiffany & Co. I walked up to the owner and asked for a gold necklace with the initials 'ES' on it. She looked at the necklace and gasped. "Wrong initials Eli." I chuckled. 'Nope they're not wrong, it's yours now, wear it forever. I want them to know your mine now." Her cheeks went red instantly. "I actually need the bathroom." She said quietly as I nodded at her. "Be safe, my guard will wait outside of the door for you." I glanced over at her as we walked down to the bathrooms.

As soon as she entered, I sat down at a nearby bench on my phone trying to look at updates on Gino, nothing had come through yet. I was glancing at my phone for a while before I heard a scream, a familiar scream. I stood up in alarm instantly. As I ran towards the bathroom I saw my guard, unconscious on the floor. "ELLA!!" He found us. "ELLA" I panicked. "THOSE SICK BASTARDS!" Employees came rushing towards me. "Sir what happened? I need you to calm down!" Them telling me to calm down only made me worse, so I calmed down knowing Ella would be upset at me. "THEY TOOK HER!" They looked at me weirdly, I couldn't say her name. "THEY TOOK MY WIFE!" I don't regret calling her my wife, it sounds lovely. If only I could actually call her my wife. She wasn't even my girlfriend yet. I quit daydreaming again about how much I would enjoy her in our room, just us, no Eva and no clothes. I smirked at the idea, just us in our room, watching movies.

The Employees led me towards the staff area, where they reviewed all footage, none showing Ella leaving. "Sir, do you need us to call the police? Or do you want to call them?" I shook my head as I walked out the room and towards my car before driving home to enter my office. How could I let this happen! I knew I shouldn't have taken her. I called Cam, he knew what to do, like the crazy bastard he is. "Cam, I need all the files on Gino, ASAP! I don't care where you are, what you're doing! Ella is gone! And I need double security around my house and work! I owe you!" I knew any job I had for him, he could do it in the blink of an eye. "Got it boss, I just loaded all the files, Gino's out of town, 5 hours away." I scoffed. "Okay, any close mafias? Or any relatives close to here?" I was going to risk anything for Ella, even if it meant dying, I will do it.

I missed her smile, her laugh, her eyes, her mouth and her voice. It's been many hours, I haven't received an email to open the letter, I presume it has something to do with Ella. I had only realised now, Eva still doesn't know. "Hey Eva! Where are you?" I walked over to her room and saw her sound asleep. I couldn't disturb her peace now so I left her. "I'm sorry." I whispered. She either heard me and woke up or she wasn't asleep because she asked, "What are you sorry for? Where's Ella!?"
