Chapter 5: Battles and blood

(Elias's POV)

It had been 1 day since Ella was last seen, i had found no clues of where she was. Eva was catching on, she too was worried for Ella, i took her to the park and tried to play it off around her. Cam stayed with me a lot. "Any leads Cam? we are running out of time." He shook his head. We had a small idea of who did it, there was a report on a rival mafia, 30 minutes from where Ella was last seen. My guard was sent to hospital and put on rest, while i had tried my best to get info out of him.

I walked over to Eva slowly, "Hey Eva, shall we go home?" she nodded, grabbing her gear and headed towards the car as I walked over to the driver's seat. "Alright, shall we get ice cream first?" She happily said "Yes, can I get chocolate!" I nodded. "Of course, anything else?" She was shocked. "I can get more!?" I laughed. "Yep!" Eva was the only person other than Cam keeping me sane.

We arrived at the ice cream shop. The owner knew me and immediately handed me mine and then looked at Eva. "She's yours or?" I chuckled. "Nope, now she would like.. What do you like Eva?" I asked, she pointed at the chocolate and the mint and then pointed at a cup. "She would love to have the mint and chocolate in a cup, thanks." I tapped my card. "No Cam, you're not getting any, I'd be lying if I said you needed it." Eva heard and laughed too. "See, she understands me." along with Ella, the resemblance killed me every second I looked at Eva.

"Is it good Eva?" i was trying my best to remain calm for Eva, i was on the verge of breaking, like my parents did when i was younger. i knew better though. Eva nodded and continued to eat her ice cream. I had finished mine before we even entered the car, Cam chose to drive which I didn't mind, i got a rest which i don't usually do on work days, it's either paperwork or in the cells. My days starting and ending at 6 am, I'd be lucky to even get 1 an hour of sleep.

We had just arrived home, I had walked off to the office, and Eva walked off to god knows where. Cam had gone to work, i let him take over as i was in no state of mind to control a whole mafia. Eva walked over to my room. Tears coming from her red, swollen eyes. "What's the matter, do I need to go talk to someone?" I was very cautious of my words around Eva, one wrong word could set her off like a bomb. I would lose all my trust with her and Ella. she shook her head. "Then you gotta tell me, look i know you're scared but i can't help you without you using words." instead of her complying she came up to me and embraced me in a big hug. "I'm sorry, i'm doing my best, she will be home soon, i promise." i was trying so hard to not cry, to not cry for the first in forever. 

I comforted Eva, for a little bit before i took her down to the kitchen and grabbed her favourite snack. "You can go watch a movie with Mr buggy and i'll be in my office, hm?" she nodded and smiled as she picked up the tv remote and put on a show. I had walked down the corridor of my house and sat down, i was going to find who took her, and when i do, im gonna be covered in blood. Hell, the fucker who even lays a finger near her, will pay. I have my ways, I may be 1 guard down, but I can kill like there's no tomorrow.

I was so close to finding her, I was missing one detail, who. I knew where but not who, they had taken her down towards a warehouse 5 hours away, near Gino. I had ruled out Gino as Gino was in the place when she was taken, unless.. He planned it. "CAM, I WANT ALL FILES PULLED ON GINO NOW! I'VE GOT AN IDEA, ORDER THE MAFIA OUTSIDE, I DON'T CARE WHAT YOUR DOING, I WANT IT NOW!" I had the best idea ever, I mean second best idea, having Ella and watching a movie with her, is the best idea.

Firstly, I had to share my plan with Cam, then I had to secure Eva in a safe and well protected area that had only a few guards. Cam assembled the mafia outside my house, vans and gear, trackers, guns and knives inside them. I had the best weapons obviously. We all got in the car and took the 5 hour drive towards the building. Cam was acting like a little kid and kept asking "How long?" "When are we there?" I got fed up with him and gave him a task of putting all guards on stand-by when they arrived a few paths away from the target. 

"I give signals, i want the guys left to me, Cam you get Ella and i'll destroy the evidence." They nodded, little did we know we were in for hell of a ride, the next few days are going to be the fight of our lives. Cam walked, i bribed him with chocolate tiramisu pudding just to be a distraction, he would sell me just for a bite of it. nothing would stop him, just like nothing today is stoping me from Ella.

We tracked Gino, according to the tracker, he was in this building, hopefully with Ella. My mind was foggy with unholy things. Fuck, some things i wanted true and others i cant even wish on my rivals. I watched as Cam walked towards the steel double sliding doors . My Men had grabbed a device allowing us to listen for hints. Cam was faffing about some sort of package. "Good afternoon sir, may interest you in some packages, they seem to be delivered to you?" He was tall, towering over the short Cam, he looked like the size of a peanut compared the the evil looking giraffe. "Gino, did you order another package?" i knew it. Come on, don't stuff this now. If he were to blow our cover, he basically asking to be put in body bags. I was about to declare war.

 I didn't care if i walked out in body bags, if Ella did, no one is seeing the light ever again, the only light they will see is either hell or heaven.  "No i didn't, funny that i remember you-" He almost blew our cover, i could see the scared look on his face. "Oh really, must of been my twin, my names Alex, and oh really, must be wrong address sorry to bother you sir." Gino nodded, Cam is lucky he's smart. He gave us enough time to assemble our weapons and head to the side, where they had left a window open.

My men surrounded the side, guarding every few minutes as each of them came in. I had no sight of Ella, maybe it was for the best, or it was for the worst. Cam had managed to sneak around with minor scratches but a few almost close calls.  The time had arisen. I held my gun to the side of my leg, only so i could see as i got up from hiding, i gave the all clear and snuck around, ducking between boxes. Just what my father had taught me.

There were 2 guards, they were standing at a heavily protected steel door, the entire warehouse was steel. I grabbed my gun up, not raising alarm, I shot at them, firing around 10 rounds before they dropped down. there was no backing now. The door must of been sound proof, Ella would have either screamed or yelled. Gino's team came rushing once they heard the shots. "Take the left, i go right." I whispered as they nodded, some of my team might not make it out, or me. I ran, taking the side I assigned myself to. "GET THEM." I heard a loud voice. Shit. They're close. 

The battle continued for ages. None of my men has suffered major injuries, only a few gunshots but they had got caught in the vests we wore, silly of Gino not to wear them. Once it was clear, I ran towards the door, I had a sneak peak of the window. What I saw next horrified me. It wasn't just Ella, Eva too. For the first time in years I broke down, Me, Don of a mafia, had shattered over 2 girls I was yet to save.
