Chapter 3: Sick and tired

(Ella's POV)

I Sat in my bed the entire day, sneezing every minute. I was lucky Elias knew how to cook. He made me noodle soup while Eva helped him make a sweet little get-well card. It said:
"Dear Ella/Bella (Eva wouldn't let me put Bella), get well soon, and when you are better, Elias wants to go out with you to get you nice clothes and things for you. I hope you get better, enjoy the soup, Elias made the noodles and I helped with the soup. He said I'm a good cook. P.s. can you marry him? He's very nice to me and he let me try some! - from Eva and Elias (mostly Eva)"I laughed at the question. "Love the card guys, and Eva I'll tell you something." I whispered in her ear, "I want to." We both giggled. Elias gave us a stern look. "What's so funny?" We stopped laughing. "Nothing!" We said at the same time.

"Ev can you get me some water and the tv remote." She nodded and passed it over as I turned on Netflix and decided to watch a movie. "You okay Ev?" She ran over to me and pulled me in for the tightest hug. "Ev you're okay, what's wrong?" I held her as tight as I could, Elias walked in. He glared at me as I shook my head at him. "What happened Eva? You can tell me anything. Okay?" I looked at her. She nodded and began to cry as she slowly said; "I'm scared what if dad escapes and he finds us." Now my eyes were getting watery. "No, he won't ever hurt us again okay? We are safe here with Elias and his guards okay? Dad is trapped forever." Elias must have overheard us and walked over. "Ella is right, you're safe here and he is trapped forever." I smiled at him and mouthed thank you. He smiled. "Eva wanna go help me cook dinner for Ella?" She smiled and walked over with him as I turned onto my side and slept.

"Wakey wakey, Eggs and bacon are ready." I yawned and stretched, Eva placed some food in front of me as Elias came and gave me a hug. "How are you feeling now?" He asked and I sat up and grabbed the plate. "I'm feeling alright, not too well but better thanks, and how are you?" Before Elias could respond I cut him off. "I meant it to Eva." I laughed as I watched his reaction. "You're evil." He said. "Oh I know, only for you." I smirked. We both chuckled as he came and sat next to me on the couch. "How are you not cold, Bella? I'm freezing!" He pulled the blanket right off me as I glared. "I wonder why." As I pointed out that I had no blanket on me. "My bad." He chuckled and got up leaving me.

"Where are you going! You forgot something!" He walked back over to me and gave me a small kiss on the cheek. My cheeks flushed pink from the surprise. "Surprise huh?" He laughed. "Maybe" I bit my lip slightly. "Don't you dare give me that look, you're killing me." "Am I now?" I asked teasingly. We didn't see Eva walk into the kitchen, she had been there the entire time. "EVA, YOU'VE BEEN THERE THE ENTIRE TIME." I didnt realise I yelled before she started crying. I quickly rushed to her. "Hey, I'm sorry I didn't mean to yell." I apologised so many times. "Hey, here you go." I handed her her favourite teddy that she snuggles with. "See, Mr Buggy doesn't want to see you cry." She stopped crying at once and laughed as she grabbed Mr buggy from my hands.

I walked back to the couch, coughing only slightly. "Need something Bella? You seem to be feeling very sick." He came and felt my forehead and checked my temperature. "Yep definitely a fever, you will need to rest." I laughed. "What are you, a doctor and a mafia leader? Hm?" He laughed. "Nope just a- wait how-" I'm shocked that he didn't know I knew. "It's pretty obvious when Cam called you boss, you really thought I didn't know?" He nodded. "Yikes, you're stupid after all." I chuckled.

I coughed badly, causing my eyes to tear up at the pain. "ELI, can you get me some medicine, please and a tub of ice cream, it will help me!" He laughed. "Really? I'm not falling for that, no ice cream, it will make you worse." I pretended to start crying so he would give in. "Fine, what flavour? Let me guess, caramel? double choc?" I nodded. "Just tell the owner for Ell's Usual!" I laughed. "Okay!" He said as he walked out the door, heading to the car.

As soon as his car left, Eva came over to me. "Movie time!" She grabbed the remote and turned onto Elias's netflix account."What are we watching?" She scrolled through all the movies till she found one she liked. "Why am I not shocked?" She had picked one of the most childish movies ever, but I didn't mind. She came right up next to me and grabbed the blanket slightly.

We were half way through the movie, when Elias came through the door, holding 2 tubs of icecream. "They only said you usually get one of these, so I got you both." I smiled. "Thanks and hooray, I knew she would give me both!" I sat right up as Elias handed me the ice cream. "Here you are bella." I dug my spoon into the ice cream and devoured it. Elias tried to take some but I moved my arm so he couldn't. "Nice try, one thing I was taught was to always protect what is MINE!" He laughed. "Unfortunately for you, I'm not laughing, So you won't be getting some anytime soon." I teasingly took a spoonful of ice cream and ate it right in front of him, as I watched his face instantly lose all his happiness, no that he had much.

Eva had fallen asleep as we continued the movie. I quickly paused the show, knowing she would want to continue it as I carried her up to her bed before slowly turning the lights off. "Night Eva." I said before walking off. "Now to a night to myself." I sighed, all so I thought I was getting a night to myself.. "Nope you're wrong on that one Bella, see now, you may protect what is yours, but well I'll-" Before he finished his sentence, he picked me up and carried me towards his room. "Wrong room, my room is next to it. "Now if you'll notice, your stuff isn't in your room, I moved it." He looked down at me to see my reaction, as he placed me on HIS bed. "This is OUR room." I knew he was gonna say that.

I didn't mind staying in Elias's room, occasionally he tried to be a bit sneaky when I was changing. It brought laughter to my day. I had no work so I was either occupied with Eva or I was bored watching TV. I asked Elias if I could go to his work, which I've already been to at the start. He refused and said he didn't want me getting hurt and I couldn't handle it. "ELI, THERE'S A NOTE AT YOUR DOOR, ITS FROM UNKNOWN AND IT SAYS DO NOT OPEN TILL 'IEYWTOI' DO YOU NEED IT NOW?" I had to yell as he was in 'our' room and I was downstairs. "JUST LEAVE IT ALONE, I'LL GET IT LATER!" I had the urge to open it, but it seemed important so I left it alone as Elias said.

"Hey Eva, you want to do something?" I was still a bit sick but well enough to be around Eva now. Elias had also taken me to the doctors and of course paid himself, I didn't mind but I felt like he pays for everything, I practically owe him my life. Eva came rushing towards me in a sort of panicked way. "Someone is here, they want to see Elias! They seem angry." I was shocked, it was 9pm at night, he doesn't have visitors unless... "Eva go to your room, now! Lock the door and don't come out!" She nodded and sprinted towards her room as I dialled Eli's number. "ELI! You need to come home now! There are men at your door! It's an emergency!" I could hear small muffles through the phone before I heard my world close in.

I had thought it was the men entering, but Elias had fought them off and came rushing towards me. I hadn't fully fainted but I had fallen slightly, causing small scars on me. "You scared me! Who were they!" He picked me up and threw me over his shoulder, bridal style. "There's no time to explain, we need to evacuate now! Grab Eva! We are going somewhere else." I nodded as he put me down when we had arrived downstairs. "Eva you can come out, you're safe!" She unlocked the door and came right up to me, opening me in a tight hug. "We need to leave, only for a bit, okay?"

It had been 2 weeks and we had come back to Elias's house, this time we doubled the guards and everything. Nothing was going to stop us now.
