Louis's POV:
"Rock-paper-scissors, shoot!"
"Oh, I won," I said, "Guess, I'll go first...I'll be the forward." The others also picked their spots, with Bachira and Isagi taking the wings. That worked well for me; I could create some good plays with them.
Kuon began sketching our positions and non-excisting strategy. The game was about to start, and honestly, I was just hoping not to trip over my own feet or falling asleep, since I couldn't get much last night.
"Hey, Louis," Isagi said as we made our way out of the locker room. "Do you think we'll actually make it through this?"
I shrugged, attempting to sound optimistic. "Who knows? But it's exciting, isn't it?"
He nodded, determination sparkling in his eyes. "Yeah!"
Once on the field, we waited for Team X to arrive. They walked in with a scary aura, especially the guy in the center.
Team X versus Team Z Kickoff!!
I started the game, running towards the enemy's occupation, two defenders are rushing towards me, but with no challange I easily sidestepped them faster than I sidestep my responsibilities... Too bad, that I only cared about the other team...
"Louis, behind you!" Isagi yelled.
"What the heck are you doing, Raichi?!" I shouted in irritation.
"I just have to score the most goals to survive, right? I'll handle this myself!" he replied, a cocky grin on his face. But it didn't last long; Kunigami quickly snatched the ball from him.
"If you want to play by 'Blue Lock' rules, you'll have to get past me, Raichi," Kunigami said as our team started to rally. I could hear Kuon yelling something like "Hold your positions! Or at least try to look like you know what you're doing!"
Then Team X players also started to fight for the ball, but it didn't last longer since there is always the best one there, and its him from Team X...
A player from Team X snatched the ball and charged toward the net.
"Get out of my way, or I'll kill you!" he shouted, his dark aura and glowing red eyes making him look fierce.
"You're not getting past me!" Kira yelled, diving in and just managing to graze the ball. It sent it spinning off-course, but luckily Bachira was there to save the day. We exchanged a quick look before jumping into an action.
