Amelia and I are in the kitchen, making smoothies. She's brought over my things from my old house, as Johnny doesn't know when he'll be over. One of the things that were in the box of my things, was my sunglasses which are identical to Amelia's, apart from the orange rims, which on hers are pink.
We pick up our smoothies and go out to the back. "Hey, there was something I meant to ask you," Amelia starts, taking a sip from her strawberry smoothie. "How'd you get the stitches?"
I knew that questions was coming. "Well, I was taking some rubbish, when this girl came out of nowhere! And I mean, nowhere. One minute, it was just me, then she was there with a knife. She was saying I was sleeping with Darren, which, I am not." I give her a look, to which she raises her eyebrows. "Anyway, she came at me, then I ran into the garden, and Benjy and Jaden went home because Darren had to clean me up and take me to the hospital." I take a sip of my banana and strawberry smoothie.
Amelia just stares at me. "Darren took you to hospital?" I nod. She lets out a whistle. "Any hot docs?" I grin at her. "There was?!" I nod, leaning back on my chair. "Tell me. Everything. Now."
I tell her about Simon, and that Darren pretended to be my 'Boyfriend', "Which was totally not the plan, by the way." I explain.
"Your boyfriend? Holy fuck balls." She breaths out, leaning back like me. The patio door opens, and Darren comes out.
"Hello, ladies." He winks a blue eye at us. Then he turns back to the door. "Oi, piss faces! You playing or what?" The boys are here.
Greg, Benjy and Jaden trail out. They stop when they catch sight off Amelia's legs, which are on full display thanks to her new denim short-shorts. "Well, hello." Greg says to Amelia, raking his gaze over her, from her blonde hair, to her bikini top, bare stomach, to her legs and right down to her shiny gold toenails.
Amelia flutters her false eyelashes at all three of the boys. She would have fluttered at Darren, too, if he was in sight. I get up from my chair. "One of you guys can have my seat." I turn to Amelia, "I just gotta ring Johnny. Will you be okay?" She looks at me, and gives me the Are you kidding me look.
"I'll be fine, Lilly-Mae." She gazes over the three guys, all eager for her attention. "I'll be just fine..." I shake my head as I pick up my glass from the table and walk inside. I sit down in the kitchen, and pull out my phone. I try ringing Johnny, but he doesn't answer.
TO : JOHNNY : Hey, tried ringing you. Hope you're okay. I miss you. Thank you for packing my tihngs up for Amelia to bring over. Lilly-Mae xx
I sigh as I put my phone on the table, sipping my smoothie. "Hey, you alright?" Darren asks, walking into the kitchen. I smile at him and nod, turning my attention back to my smoothie. He walks over and stands behind me, hugging my shoulders from behind. "Are you going to tell me the truth now?" He whispers in my ear.
It makes me shiver. He chuckles slightly. "I'm fine. Really." I push back from the table, almost stepping on his toes. "I'd better go and get Amelia. We're going to the cinema." I tell him, smiling slightly. I didn't really want to go to the cinema, but Amelia wants to, and since she's the one who came up her to see me.
"Hey, me and the guys were thinking about going to see a film. What if we all went?" He asks. I shrug, not looking at him.
"I'll have to ask Amelia." I tell him, walking off.
"Okay,"I hear him call after me. I walk into the garden.
"Amelia?" I call out. She's no where to be seen. I walk all around the garden, and in the sheds. I walk back into the house, and check all of the kitchen. Darren's still there. He's sat up to the kitchen table, writing something. "Hey, Darren?" I say, walking in.
