I'm not even sure what is going on in this film. All I know is that I'm really distracted by Darren's arm over my shoulders, and the arm of the seat digging into my side. I feel a delicate hand brush my side that's next to Darren. I jump slightly. I look down, and see that the hand is connected to the person the other side of Darren.
Amelia.
She's moving her hand up and down Darren's torso. I watch as her hand slips under the edge of his t-shirt. I move away from Darren. I can't sit with him like this, knowing that my best friend's making moves on him.
Darren moves his arm from my shoulders when I move away, and he holds my hand instead. I keep a steady gaze on the huge screen, and wriggle my hand out of his grasp. I look at him from the corner of my eye, and he's frowning at his now empty hand.
"Darren," I hear Amelia say quietly. Not quiet enough. "Darren, lets get out of here." I hear some shuffling around. "C'mon, Darren."
"No, thanks. I'm okay here." He replies, just as quietly. "I'm staying here. Ask Greg." That's not going to help. When Amelia chuckles, I know for sure she's not letting Darren go so fast.
"I don't want Greg though," She says, her voice muffled some material. I'm guessing her face is in his shoulder or something. I hear a little moan from Darren, and that's it. I can't sit here any longer. I bolt up.
"Excuse me, please." I say to Darren, without looking at him. When he doesn't move his legs, I look at him, and see him looking me with a confused expression. People start getting angry that I'm blocking the view. Darren finally moves and I go past without another word.
I go down the theater steps and go into the area where they have the popcorn and drinks. I walk through there and go out into the cold outside. I sit on the same bench that Darren was sat on earlier.
It's dark now. I swear Amelia chose the longest film in the history of films. I pull out my phone, and text Johnny.
TO : JOHNNY : Hi, hope you're okay. Haven't spoke to you today. -Lilly-Mae xx
I put my phone back in my pocket. There's not a lot I can do. I'm not going back in there. Not with Darren and Amelia practically getting it off next to me. It's not like I have the right to be mad. Darren and I aren't dating or anything. I shake my head.
"Lilly-Mae?" Someone asks. I turn around, and see that Simon the Nurse is stood by the bench, car keys in hand. "You're Lilly-Mae, right? The girl who came about the cuts?" I nod, and give him a small smile.
"Yeah. Hi, Nurse Johnson." He chuckles as he sits next to me.
"I told you, you can call me Simon." Simon swings the key chain around his finger. "So, what you doing out here alone? Waiting for your boyfriend?"
"Boyfriend?" I ask, confused for a second. Then it clicks. "Ohh, Darren. No. I'm not waiting for him. He's ... He's not my boyfriend." I say, looking down at my hands. Darren is not my boyfriend.
I hear Simon make a sympathetic sound. A hand goes to my back. I feel a small tear leak from my eye. It's stupid I know, but, I'm just feeling a little emotional right now. Can you really blame me though?
"Hey, if you like, we can get a coffee?" Simon points over at the Costa. "Or a milkshake or something from there? I'll pay." He shoots me a cute smile that lights up his chocolate eyes. I smile up at him, before standing up.
"Thanks. I'd like that." We walk over the road, into the warm coffee shop.
"You go and get a table by the fire. The sofa ones. Which drink do you want?" I tell him I'd like a hot chocolate, and walk over to the comfy sofas by the fireplace. I slip off my jacket, due to it being well heating over here.
