Yaroslav had watched Thea's face carefully when she first received his anonymous texts. At first, her curiosity had piqued his interest, but the way her expression quickly shifted to fear had struck him harder than he expected. He hadn't intended to push her into a panic; he was merely testing her reaction, trying to feel closer to her, yet the sight of her anxiety stirred something unsettling inside him—guilt.

He paced his room, replaying the moment in his head, questioning his approach. The texts were supposed to be harmless, a way to observe her, but the growing fear in her eyes haunted him. He knew about her fragile heart now, even if the full details of her past were still a mystery to him. Guilt gnawed at his insides.

Unable to stay idle, Yaroslav made an excuse to visit the hospital under the pretense of checking on an old friend. In truth, his focus was entirely on Thea, wanting to know if she was okay. As he made his way through the hospital's corridors, the sterile lights overhead seemed to blur with the pounding of his heart. His mind was consumed with thoughts of her.

When he finally spotted Thea's parents in the waiting area, their faces worn with concern, Yaroslav's heart clenched. He approached slowly, his usual confident air subdued by the weight of his guilt.

"Mr. And Mrs. Smith, is everything alright? Where is Thea?" He cautiously asked his concern genuine, his guilt make his heart ache,

"She is inside, had a Panick attack" Josh said not wanting to go into details to a mere stranger especially his boss.

"Oh" he said "is she alright now? What happened?" He asked again.

YAROSLAV ZOLNEROWICH

I am desperate for the single sight of my girl, who I had scared I wasn't planning to take this far, this my fault I should have been careful, why the fuck am I so stupid.

"Nothing you need to know" cecily sharp voice rang through my ears

I HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW

I wanted to scream at her face yet I remained calm the only reason she is alive right now is because she birthed my godess, the only reason my existence is Thea and just because they take good care of her they are alive, or else I hate when she gives attention to someone else than me.

I took a deep breath and said "right, I shouldn't have asked" giving them a tight smile, a glance at the room I muttered before going "hope she gets well soon" and I walked out.

2 WEEKS LATER

I was pacing around my office, tension coiling tighter with every second. It had been two weeks since the hospital incident, and the guilt still gnawed inside me. I hadn't meant to push her that far. The panic, Thea's fragility—it had triggered something in me, something that both repelled and attracted me. I had extended my stay in the States, playing the long game, trying to weave myself closer to her. But now, everything was slipping out of my hands.

The door to my office swung open, and Dimitri, my best friend and second-in-command, barged in without knocking. I immediately sensed the urgency in his posture.

"You're not going to believe this," Nikolai said, catching his breath as he tossed a folder onto my desk.

My jaw tightened. "What is it?"

Nikolai took a step closer, his voice low but firm. "Thea. She's leaving the States. With her parents. They're moving—to Russia."

I felt a cold jolt in my chest. "Russia?" I whispered, my mind racing.

Of all the places they could go, they were coming to my territory. I had been biding my time in the U.S., staying close, watching from a distance, but Russia? That was MY KINGDOM. My rules.

"They've already applied for visas," Dimitri added, watching my expression darken. "I checked it myself. They'll be leaving in about a week."

I leaned back in my chair, rubbing my chin as the weight of the situation settled over me. Fate had delivered Thea into my hands, but it wouldn't be that easy. I had pushed her too far once, and now her parents were protective, hovering. They wouldn't let me near her—my butterfly—unless i play my cards right.

"I want every detail," I  said,my voice low and commanding. "Where they're going, what their plans are. Everything."

Nikolai nodded sharply. "Already working on it."

Staring out of the window, the vast expanse of the city beneath me . I had resources. Power. Influence. I had control in Russia, here I did have power but the conflicts between Russia and the American mafia were settled no less then 30 years ago disrupting anything could lead into danger and hence my powers were limited, though the don of the American mafia knew not to mess with me but due to my butterflies safety I had to stay calm . But there was no way I'd let her slip away now. Not when she was so close to being mine.

Hours later, after Nikolai returned with a full report, i knew what I had to do. My mind raced with possibilities, but one plan stood out above the rest. Make sure Thea's parents' visas were rejected—quietly, of course. No one would ever know how or why, but they wouldn't be able to leave the States with her. Only Thea's visa would be approved. And when she arrived in Russia, she would be alone.

A heavy sense of guilt tugged at me, but i shoved it aside. This wasn't just about control anymore; it was about protecting her. She didn't know what the world was really like—how dangerous it could be. I had to be the one to shield her, to guide her through it.

"This is my territory," I muttered to myself as I made the calls, ensuring that her parents would face some unexpected "issues" with their visas. "And she'll be safe here, with me."

When everything was set in motion, I leaned back in my chair, a dark satisfaction settling over me. The pieces were falling into place. Thea wouldn't escape me now. Not in Russia. Not in My DOMAIN.

Ivan watched me carefully. "Are you sure about this? If her parents find out you had anything to do with this..."

"They won't," I said, cutting him off. "They'll think it's just bureaucracy, a mistake in the system. And by the time they sort it out, Thea will already be here."

"And then what?" Nikolai asked, raising an eyebrow.

My lips curled into a smile. "Then she'll have no choice but to come to me. I'll be her protector. Her savior."

Nikolai, Ivan and Dimitri stared at me not replying, just nodded. They knew better than to question me once my mind was set.

As the hours passed, my  anticipation only grew. My plan was in motion, and soon, Thea would be where she belonged. In Russia. In my world.

Where I would finally claim her.
