I woke up feeling like my head was a storm, everything swirling around me with no clear end in sight. Devraj was still out there, lurking like a shadow I couldn't shake. I'd increased the security around Siya and her friend Ishita, but it was all so damn confusing. The past was an anchor, pulling me back into waters I didn't want to drown in again, but Siya's silence wasn't helping.

I was hurt. Ten years. Ten whole years of living in a web of lies for my so-called "safety." She thought she was protecting me, but all I could think was: Ten years is a long time to live with deception. A part of me admired her, her strength, her success, her perseverance but another part of me?

That part wanted answers.

But the fact that she personally called Mr. Rao for the collaboration? That had thrown me for a loop. A woman playing her cards so cleverly in the business world...The Seths didn't see it coming. I didn't see it coming. But I was proud. As much as it pissed me off, there was a part of me that was impressed. That pride was quickly swallowed by my frustration. She had gotten what she wanted in the business world, but what about us?

I got ready, throwing on my luxury suit, the usual tailored fit that screamed Hukum-sa. I checked my reflection. Time to face the world. As I walked down the grand staircase, my attention was snagged by a sight that made me halt in my tracks.

Ms. Siya!

She was standing near the corridor, swaying her hips, talking animatedly on the phone. That damn backless sky-blue kurti with the white Patiala wasn't doing my focus any favours. Her hair cascading down one side and those delicate jhumkas swaying as she talked...God, she looked good. Too good.

I blinked. Twice.

No, I couldn't afford to lose control just because she looked like a walking temptation. I'm mad at her. Disappointed. And she better make it up to me. With a sharp breath, I continued walking, not giving her a damn second glance. I heard her gasp...sharp, surprised but I didn't turn around. She had to know I wasn't going to fall for her games.

"Com'on! I took a lot of effort to get ready to draw your attention!" I heard her frustrated voice behind me, but I bit my lip to hold back a smirk. I knew she did. But she wasn't getting my attention that easily. Not today.

By the time I reached the living room, Shweta was already there, chatting with Rithvik. She smiled when she saw me, and I nodded in acknowledgment. She'd arrived early, always the punctual MBA friend. I took a seat on the plush red velvet couch, quickly instructing the guards to let the scheduled guests in. Raipur had its fair share of problems, and my people needed solutions.

For the next hour, I was deep in the meeting, discussing everything from land disputes to business expansions. Serious stuff. The living area was off-limits to anyone else during these meetings; except apparently, for one person.
