Sivaangi sat across from Ashwin with her notes and textbooks spread out on the table between them.....
Yes it was next day and as they planned they had been studying for a couple of hours now and she was helping him with mathematics a subject he found difficult....
The library was quiet and Sivaangi was explaining a tricky equation moving her pen across the notebook as she scribbled down numbers and formulas....
She was so engrossed in breaking down the steps for Ashwin that she didn't notice a loose strand of hair fall into her face....
It dangled in front of her eyes brushing against her cheek and was irritating her and she was absentmindedly trying to tuck it behind her ear as she continued teaching him....
But before she could do it herself Ashwin reached across the table and gently tucked the strand behind her ear for her.....
The simple gesture was so unexpected and so casual yet intimate that made Sivaangi froze for a second.....
Her breath caught in her throat and her heart skipped a beat.... His fingers were soft and the small contact sent a wave of warmth through her....
She blinked staring at him in surprise and her mind suddenly racing with thoughts and emotions she didn't know how to handle.....
Did he realize how much that small act affected her? Did he know how her heart was racing right now?
Ashwin said with a soft smile and his voice was so warm and kind....
Ashwin : Ippo okay ah... romba neram ah athu unna distrub panniten irunthuchula....
Sivaangi couldn't find her voice so she just nodded her head and her face grew warm and blush creeping up her cheeks before she could stop it....
She quickly looked down at her notes pretending to focus on the equations in front of her but her mind was no longer on math....
All she could think about was the way his fingers had gently grazed her skin.... the way his touch had sent butterflies fluttering through her stomach.....
Her fingers trembled slightly as she held the pen and she took a deep breath trying to calm herself....
Sivaangi (mv) : It was nothing...
she told herself....
Sivaangi (mv) : He was just being nice... just helping u with ur hair...
But no matter how much she tried to brush it off the moment lingered in her mind refusing to fade away.....
For a few seconds neither of them spoke... Ashwin didn't seem to notice her flustered state or if he did and he wasn't showing it.....
He leaned back in his chair and his expression was relaxed as if tucking her hair behind her ear was the most natural thing in the world....
Sivaangi stole a glance at him with her heart still racing..... and thought to herself....
Sivaangi (mv) : En di netheh avlo solliyum un mandaila eralaya dii... nethum ippadi thaan ava chumma ah causal ah friendly ah un mela kai ah potathukku antha kuthi kuthikura...
Sivaangi (mv) : appove na sonnen avana paaru avan evlo casual ah onnumeh nadakatha maari irukan.... neethaan theva illatha aasai ah valathukura nu.....
Yeshhh it was true Ashwin sat there seeming so calm and so unaffected.... feeling hurt she quickly looked away biting her lip to keep herself from overthinking it.......
After a few moments she cleared her throat trying to regain her composure....
Sivaangi : Okay... lets get back to this equation...
She said with her voice a little shakier than she intended but She focused on the page as she explained the next step....
Sivaangi : So once u have simplified the terms u have to divide both sides by two......
Ashwin leaned forward nodding as he tried to follow along and done the steps....
Ashwin : Right... divide by 2...
He repeated scribbling down on his notes.... but he wasn't as focused as he was either looking at her or the note....
Sivaangi noticed him stealing quick glances at her every now and then and each time she caught him her heart raced a little faster.....
She took another deep breath trying to concentrate on the lesson.....
Sivaangi : Yesss... ippadi panna namma final answer kedachurum...
She said pointing to the number which they got as answer....
Sivaangi : Ithu onnum avlo periya vishiyam ella illa Ashwin.... ippo namma panna steps ah careful ah panna nammakku answer kedachurum....
Ashwin nodded again and said...
Ashwin : Okay... I think I am getting it... irunthalum i think na innum konjam practice panna easy ah varum nu nenaikkuren...
Sivaangi smiled softly feeling a bit more at ease now that they were back on track....
Sivaangi : Ada kavala padathinga Ashwin... neega practice panna practice panna seekarameh u will get the hang of it.... ungalukku venum na namma naalaikkum once vera set of questions vechu practise pannalam okay ah....
Hearing her Ashwin grinned and replied which made her blush hard....
