EVREN
I slammed the door behind me, my chest heaving. If I had stayed in that room one more second, I don't know what I could have done.
She lied to me.
She fucking lied.
My steps were heavy as I moved through the house. I needed to get away from her, away from everything. I could hear voices in the living room, the faint sounds of people still awake. I couldn't let anyone see me like this. I headed for the terrace.
As soon as I stepped outside, the cold night air hit my face, but it wasn't enough to cool the anger burning inside me. I gripped the railing, my knuckles turning white as I stared out into the darkness. The city lights blinked low, completely unaware of the storm that rising inside me.
Her words kept circling in my brain like poison, growing louder, more stinging each time. How could she have hidden something like that? How could she look me in the eye, day after day, knowing that this secret was hanging over us? I thought I knew her. We were supposed to trust each other. And now I find out she's been back this... this secret?
She had been raped. And she hadn't told me. Not before we got married, not before we signed that damn paper. It was bad enough that she didn't trust me enough to share that part of her life, but the fact that Yerik, had a video of it, using it to control her? It made my blood boil.
But beneath all the anger, a harsh truth was coming in. My parents. The deal. The future of the company.
Fria wasn't just some random girl. This was a carefully arranged plan, the kind that would shape the future of our families.
This marriage wasn't just about love. It was business. My parents had made it clear that this was much about securing the family's future. Marrying Fria was supposed to solidify alliances, create stability for the company. And once we were married, they promised they'd hand more control over to me.
That was the deal—marry her, love her, and in return, the company would be mine.
Now, it felt like everything was slipping through my hands.
