JUNGKOOK POV

When I walked into the lobby
of the hotel that night, I was flagged down by the concierge.

He directed me toward a Mr. Jonas who would escort me
to Jimin's room.

I thought the man looked vaguely familiar but perhaps I had just seen him in the hotel the night before.

Not that I had been paying attention to anyone except
Jimin.

I smiled at Mr. Jonas.

He nodded and gave a slight bow.

He took me up the elevator, to Jimin's room and let me in with
a key, which seemed odd but
Jimin was expecting me, so perhaps he had left instructions with the hotel staff.

It made me wonder yet again what sort of lifestyle he led in
his home country.

A private car for himself and
for me, a personal attaché
who directed me to his room.

He had a presence that commanded attention and I had no doubt that if he snapped his fingers, several people would come running to assist him.

It wasn't an arrogance thing, though.

He seemed to come by it naturally.

I stepped into the room.

Jimin had managed to have a small table set up with a
candlelit dinner.

A roll cart tray sat next to the table with two covered plates
on it.

A bottle of wine chilled in a bucket.

A tray of chocolate covered strawberries and a vase of flowers sat on the table.

"Oh, wow." I said.

"You went all out."

He grinned as he stepped
toward me and wrapped me
in a hug.

He kissed my cheek. "How is
it that I missed you all day?"

I sighed against him and laid
my cheek against his chest.

"I feel the same way."

"It's insane, right?"

"I mean, we just met."

"We did love but it is as if my
life began just yesterday when
I saw you in the restaurant."

I didn't have words that could more appropriately speak my thoughts, so I lifted up on my tippy toes and kissed him.

I wrapped my arms around
his neck, threading my fingers into his hair.

His tongue delved into my
mouth and I met it with mine.

Electricity shot through my
limbs down to my toes.

My body came alive in his arms.

He pulled away suddenly, his breath coming in short pants.

"Sorry, If we keep that up
then dinner will be cold."

I didn't mind but he had obviously gone to a lot of
trouble to put this together.

"Then we better eat quickly."

We sat down at the table and
He put the tray of food in front
of me.

He lifted the top off.

A sweet smell that I couldn't place filled the air.

"The special this evening was
a pomegranate glazed chicken with buttery pine nuts."

"So, I ordered two."
