It was a bright and cold day. The sun was high up in the partly clear sky, but despite that it’s still all ultimately cold. The wind is freezing, the chill was enough to pierce through a thick layer of three or four clothing commonly used for places with winter weather climate.

The surrounding was vast pure white. The trees were mostly void of greens; withered due to the nature’s transition of seasons while some were coated in powdered white as they stood in this deafening tundra. A sight so vividly scenic like those in the nature tv shows that features northern icly wilderness that I used to watch.

The whispy white puff of smoke that form everytime I breathe out was a clear evidence of how high altitude and cold this place is.

It’s friggin cold! ....—or so my brain at least described it as.

Strangely as it was, I don’t feel cold or whatnot. Nor do I feel the sharp sting of wintery chills as the wind courses past me. And even though I'm in my casual clothes that offered less of warmth and none of ward against this freezing weather I still felt nothing.

I’m terribly fine. Neither of the cold weather or the high altitude of this place that causes an irregular to difficult breathing for other people due to the thinness of air, bothers me.

Maybe it’s because of my new body. I thought so while heading towards my destination.

What am I doing here in such place, you say? Well I, [Noelle "Noir" Alteria Nythblood], is searching for someone that I am told to be located here.

Grandpa sent her here to train. Apparently, she asked him to train her like me in the past. And she was living here alone in lieu of that.

“Mother, at this pace we’ll be arriving at our destination at exactly sunset.” Bel informed me.

[Bel] is an 'Anima' or a formless existence with own conscious that I created by using one of my Authority and a part of my own existence.

She’d taken the form of a black metal hairpin that’s long as a chopstick. It has an ornate design of an angel’s feathered wing as its headpiece. I gave her life in someway or another, so that’s why she calls and treats me as her mother. —Well it doesn’t bothers me anyway so I let her.

“Mm. I see.” I shortly replied, pulling me out of my thoughts while dashing past a tree.

“Well are you really sure about this Mother?” Bel asked me out of a long silence. “Hm?”

“I mean about telling them?” “Mm. I trust them, they are family.”

“But why Mother? With what we are now we can do this on our own, we don’t need them.”

True enough. With my new body and abilities I can easily take down a kingdom or two on my own. —But....

“Yes, you’re right. I, alone, is enough to accomplish my goals. But by doing so I’ll attract unnecessary attention that I currently can’t deal with, so nope.”

That’s right, with these new strengths I can easily achieved anything by myself. However, that also will attract unnecessary attention that I can’t deal with....—especially them.

Also, I’m not that dumb to lay all of my aces. Fear of the unknown as they say. So long as they known less about me, my fighting style and how I operate it’ll be difficult for my enemies to confront me, wary of what surprises that I had in store.

Am I overthinking things? Yeah maybe, I’m just overly cautious. But it’s better than sorry, no?

“You needn’t to worry Bel. It’s not like I will tell them everything.” I softly flicked my hairpin to reassure her.
