The following week at โรงเรียนดาวรุ่ง was filled with anticipation for Gemini. He found himself counting down the days until he could see Fourth again. Their texts were playful and filled with inside jokes, but nothing could compare to the warmth of their in-person conversations.

When Friday finally arrived, Gemini was practically buzzing with excitement. They had planned a picnic at a local park after school, and he spent the afternoon preparing, packing homemade sandwiches and some of his mother’s famous mango sticky rice for dessert.

As he approached the park, he spotted Fourth sitting on a blanket under a large tree, his hair tousled by the gentle breeze. Fourth looked up and grinned, waving as Gemini made his way over.

“Hey! You made it!” Fourth exclaimed, his enthusiasm contagious.

“Wouldn’t miss it for the world!” Gemini replied, feeling his heart race as he laid out the picnic spread.

They settled onto the blanket, surrounded by the vibrant colors of the park. As they dug into their food, the conversation flowed easily, covering everything from school to their hobbies. Fourth shared stories about his family, especially his younger sister, who seemed to be a constant source of both joy and chaos.

“Last weekend, she tried to bake a cake for our mom’s birthday. It ended up being more of a science experiment than a cake,” Fourth laughed, shaking his head.

“I can relate! I once burned pasta because I forgot to boil the water first,” Gemini replied, grinning at the memory.

“See? We’d make a great cooking team!” Fourth joked, nudging Gemini playfully. “You provide the music, and I’ll provide the entertainment.”

As they finished their sandwiches, Fourth pulled out a deck of cards from his backpack. “How about a game? Loser has to tell the other a secret.”

“Deal!” Gemini said, a competitive spark igniting in him.

They started playing, the game quickly becoming a playful battle filled with laughter and teasing. Every victory was met with exaggerated cheers, and every loss brought out silly confessions.

“I’m terrible at hiding my emotions,” Fourth admitted after losing a round. “I wear my heart on my sleeve.”

“Me too! It’s hard for me to pretend everything’s okay when it’s not,” Gemini replied, surprised by their shared vulnerability.

After a few rounds, they set the cards aside, feeling the playful tension transform into something deeper. Fourth suggested they take a walk through the park to cool off, and Gemini agreed.

As they strolled along the winding paths, Fourth reached for a small flower and tucked it behind Gemini’s ear. “Now you look even cooler!” he teased, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

Gemini felt his cheeks flush. “Thanks! I guess I’ll have to start wearing flowers more often.”

They continued walking, and their conversation shifted to their dreams and aspirations. Fourth opened up about his desire to pursue music, sharing how he spent hours playing guitar and dreaming of performing on stage.

“I really want to create something that connects with people,” Fourth said, his voice filled with passion. “Music has this amazing ability to express emotions words sometimes can’t.”

“I totally get that. Music has always been my escape,” Gemini replied, feeling a surge of admiration for Fourth’s ambition. “I want to write songs that make people feel something.”

The conversation flowed effortlessly, and as the sun began to set, casting a golden light over the park, they found themselves sitting on a bench, the world around them fading away.

“Hey, can I ask you something?” Fourth said, turning to Gemini with a serious expression.

“Sure, what’s up?” Gemini replied, feeling a mix of curiosity and anticipation.

“Do you believe in fate?” Fourth asked, his gaze steady.

Gemini considered the question for a moment. “I think there’s a reason people come into our lives. Like… maybe we were meant to meet.”

“I feel that way too,” Fourth said, a soft smile spreading across his face. “It’s like I was meant to find you, and that feels really special.”

The air grew thick with unspoken feelings, and Gemini’s heart raced as he looked into Fourth’s eyes. He knew they had something unique, a bond that felt deeper than just friendship.

“Fourth,” he began, his voice barely above a whisper, “I really like you. Like, a lot.”

Fourth’s expression brightened, and he leaned closer. “I like you too, Gemini. More than just a friend.”

In that moment, the world around them faded into the background. Their eyes locked, and without thinking, Gemini leaned in, capturing Fourth’s lips in a soft kiss. It was tentative at first, both of them feeling the weight of the moment, but it quickly deepened as they melted into each other.

When they finally pulled apart, both boys were breathless, a mix of joy and surprise on their faces.

“Wow,” Fourth breathed, his smile wide. “That was… amazing.”

“Yeah,” Gemini replied, his heart pounding. “I’ve wanted to do that for a while.”

Fourth grinned, his eyes sparkling with happiness. “So… does this mean we’re together?”

“I’d love that,” Gemini said, a rush of warmth flooding through him. “Officially together.”

With that simple affirmation, the air around them shifted, filled with a new energy. They leaned back onto the bench, side by side, the stars beginning to twinkle above them.

As they sat together, talking and laughing, Gemini felt an overwhelming sense of happiness. He knew that this was just the beginning of something beautiful, something he had longed for without even realizing it. They were together, and the world felt like a brighter, more vibrant place.
