Makima found herself staring out the window, watching as humans got along with their daily lives.

Students on their way to school, adults on their way to work - some thugs in the corner probably planning to steal, just to get caught by the police officers that were on patrol.

Everything was 'normal' as it always was, that she took the time to appreciate it; knowing that -

it wouldn't always be this way.

Letting out a small sigh, she made her way back to her chair and took a seat - slightly smiling to herself, as she began to count.

One, two-

"Miss Makima."
Aki, who in the spur of the moment had forgotten to knock on the door and practically burst into her office, a visible frown on his face.

Oh, he was a second early.

"Yes, Aki?"
She had simply said in response, her smile only widening as she looked up towards him.

Aki had remained nonchalant, refusing to allow his cheeks to redden as he started back at Makima.

"That fiend."
He started, his frown only intensifying from just the mention and thought of their apparent newcomer.

"Why is she here? No, why is she still alive?"

Makima stared down at her desk, holding herself back from laughing as this reaction from Aki wasn't at all surprising.

"I'm sure you must've already heard from Kishibe, but she will be joining us."
She had purposely stated in a simple way, knowing that it would only get him more aggravated.

"And well..she'll also be living with you."

"..Huh?"
Was all Aki could let out, feeling nothing but disbelief from Makima's words, that he wasn't able to notice her smirk.

"Miss Makima, are you seriously telling me that I'll have to room with a fiend?"
He questioned, not even bothering to hide his disgust, and hoped that his ears had somehow heard wrong.

Makima went back to smiling as she stood up and slowly made her way towards him.

"I know it must be a shocker and something that you absolutely refuse to accept."

Aki had found himself slightly tensing as she was now right in front of him, but he forced himself to remain composed.

"But it's just something that needs to be done."
Makima sighed, acting as if she was tired from her work.

"And, I'm sure you're more than capable of being able to deal with it. To bear with it."

"..At least for me, won't you?"
She slightly purred, not hesitating to reach her hands out and gently begin to fix his tie up for him, as it had ended up looking crooked.

Aki immediately found himself gulping and stared down at her with surprise, watching as she diligently and calmly sorted out his tie for him.

It was when she had looked up at him again, with that angelic smile of hers - he found himself agreeing without a second thought.
