"Aki isn't going to be happy when hearing about this, you know."
Kishibe stated, slightly annoyed that he couldn't say much more.

"Oh, don't worry."
Makima simply smiled, seemingly giddy.

"He won't mind too much when it's coming from me."

Kishibe hated that she wasn't wrong.

"Um..Whose Aki?"
The newcomer between the two had spoken.

Makima's smile widened, and she made her way towards Kaiya. Reaching her hand out, she had gently tucked away a strand of the fiend's hair.

"A colleague. Don't worry your pretty little head, you two will be acquainted soon enough."
Makima softly assured.

To anyone else, it would have seemed as two girls that were just getting along, but Kishibe had felt nothing but a sense of discomfort and looked away, hating that he couldn't say what he pleased.

Though, it wasn't like Makima was unaware of what was going through his head.

"What's a colleague..?"
Kaiya questioned, confused.

Makima had immediately burst out into a small fit of laughter, and Kishibe couldn't help but slightly smile.

"You see? She doesn't even remember the basic things."
Makima states, turning to Kishibe; the sight of her had his expression going back to a straight one.

"That's why I want you to train her."

"Do I even have a choice in this matter?"
He sighed, already knowing the answer.

Makima simply smiled again and slightly tilted her head.

"Of course you don't."

Kishibe let out another sigh, sounding exhausted.

Kaiya wasn't sure why she had felt like she owed something to Kishibe after hearing all this, as if she had done something wrong.

"I'll do my best, Mr Kishibe."
She had the random urge to say, having this strange want to make him feel better.

Kishibe looked towards the softly spoken fiend - as everyone knew, he wasn't one to get attached; yet, his hand had reached out and he found himself gently patting Kaiya on her head, before he even realised what he was doing.

"Yeah, you will. You'll be trained under me, after all."
He states and was quick to remove his hand, acting as if nothing had happened.

Kaiya was left confused once more, but she found that she had enjoyed the feeling of Kishibe patting her head; it had given her a warm feeling.

"Kaiya, I expect you to listen to everything Kishibe tells you to do."
Makima was the one to speak, this time.

"And of course, there's no need for me to tell you that you'll have to listen to me too, right?"
She then smiled, gently tapping at Kaiya's chin.

Kaiya found herself at loss for words for a few seconds, there was something awfully strange about Makima; yet, she couldn't help but do everything that Makima wanted her to do - having this strange urge to keep her pleased.

"Yes, Miss Makima. I'll always listen to you and make sure to listen to Mr Kishibe, too."

"Such a sweet girl."
Makima practically cooed, with a smile and gently tucked another strand of Kaiya's hair, while Kishibe could only look away with discomfort again.

Soon after, Kaiya found herself side by side with Kishibe as they left Makima's office.

"Miss Makima is really nice."
Kaiya couldn't help but state, Kishibe didn't say anything in response.

"You're also really nice, Mr Kishibe."

"Heh. You won't be saying that when we're training, kid."
Kishibe said with a soft chuckle.

Kaiya found herself smiling a little, seemingly glad to see Kishibe in a good mood - at least, she had hoped that he was in one.

However, all senses of good vibes were quick to disappear when Kishibe had stopped a weapon that was seconds away from ending Kaiya's life.

Gripping onto the sword, he sighed and gently pushed it back towards the attacker.

"Aki, this is not how you welcome newcomers."
He murmured with exhaustion.

Kaiya was in a state of shock, how could she not be? It's not everyday a random person shows up and tries to take away your life with a sword.

"Newcomer?"
Aki repeated, practically sneering.

"This fiend?"
He then questioned, looking towards Kaiya with disgust.

Now, Aki was a senseable man and Kishibe knew this. When seeing a fiend or a devil, he would usually plan a way to end it.

Yet, his fight or flight senses had seemed to kick in from just the sight of Kaiya and he had ended up bringing his sword out, lunging for an attack; without much thinking.

"If you have a problem with it, go talk to Makima. You were on your were to go see her, anyways."
Kishibe stated and took a small step forward, protectly having Kaiya behind him.

Aki had let out a heavy sigh and was quick to put his sword away.

Kaiya slightly peeked from behind Kishibe - so, this was the Aki she had heard about.

She was tempted to greet him, even if he had just tried to kill her a few minutes ago - yet, all it took was another glare for her to remain silent and go back to being behind Kishibe.

"I will, and I hope she has a good explanation."
Was all Aki said, before walking away - purposely bumping his shoulder against Kaiya, as he did so.

Kishibe let out a sigh, he needed a drink.

Turning around to face Kaiya, he was glad to see that she seemed to be alright.

"Don't take it to heart, kid."
He murmured, hoping to assure her.

Kaiya simply nodded in response, even if her heart had strangely felt heavy.

Looking up towards Kishibe, she was quick to grow concerned.

"Mr Kishibe, your hand!"

"Hm?"
Kishibe slightly hummed and looked down at his hand that was slightly bleeding, due to him stopping Aki's attack.

He found himself letting out a small chuckle at the sight.

"Don't worry about it, I've been through worse."

"I mean, just look at my face."
He then pointed out, gesturing to the stitches that were on the right side of his mouth.

Kaiya couldn't help but frown a little - though, she was glad that he wasn't in pain.

"You should still take care of it, though."
She pointed out, her concern not fully disappearing.

"I will, but first, we start our training."
Kishibe simply says in response.

"What, already? Why??"
Kaiya had questioned with confusion.

"Because, you could've easily doged that attack from Aki."

And at that, Kaiya had let out a small sigh - knowing that she couldn't disagree with him.

"By the way, Mr Kishibe.."

"Hm?"

"What is training?"
