When morning finally arrived Robin had gotten dressed and ready drinking bland tasteless coffee, trying to contemplate exactly everything she saw. A masked ghost, her own body being dragged under the earth....a weird misty forest that's almost felt pale like all colour had vanished in that realm.
Not to mention the worst of it all, her mother would forget she even existed could they just leave and reverse the spell she wondered but of course she realised she had to get her body back first.
Moments later Robin finally calmed down all her nerves, she sculled down the entire coffee she poured in the cup and went straight to her mother fast asleep on the couch worked up the biggest smile she could muster and woke her mother up.
Her mother stared at Robin with a large blank almost like any emotions had left her body, Robin flinched wondering if she was already too late.
"I thought you we're sick?" Vivienne asked with a smile on her face.
Robin sighed with relief before quickly regaining her composure.
"Oh I was but I'm feeling much better now!"
Both of them began laughing at each other like they all forgot the stress of their situation.
"Well now that's you have recovered I've been told there's a fishing a spot in the valley and people are heading to a bbq today, I thought we could get to know the town's people and see what we're up against," Vivienne asked with a smile.
Robin clenched one of her fists while trying to keep a straight face as the line repeated in her mind you're mother will forget of you're existence.
"Definitely it sounds better than being cooped here am I right?" Replied while exploding with laughter
They both decided to head down to fishing lake which was on the far side of the valley Vivienne got in her black SUV with Robin sitting in the passenger seat
The drive took them about half an hour, they found a small building which stood at the entrance of the lake, the lake was further in which was followed by a long walking trail the camp site was a bunch of buildings surrounding the entire lake like beach houses.
Vivienne went to the reception building only to see the lights we're off and no one was home
"Weird I thought the place would be open today?" Vivienne asked herself before going back to robin she gestured to robin to follow along the walking trail hoping to find any one at the camp. Or maybe it was some kind of surprise gathering
The trail was long but narrow, it looked like it would barely fit two people on it, the trees appeared to by packed like sardines and suprisingly didn't move at all, like all the wind wouldn't reach here.
It was silent, except the sound of boots crunching against the rocks.
"I feel like we got scammed," Vivienne said to herself while Robin just signed
After 15 minutes of walking Robin grabbed her mother's arm noticing the trail just kept getting longer and longer..
"Hey do you sense anything supernatural?" She asked her mother almost shaking in perpetration.
Her mother turned her attention to her daughter and back to the trail, she also looked at the trees and noted no signs of animal life or foot prints.
She grabbed hold of her daughters hand tightly and turned her body around to face the entrance.
Without saying a word they both began to walk backwards and almost immediately they appeared at the lake.
"Hmm maybe the super intendant was right about this place it was worth investigating," Vivienne gasped
