ch 8 Lottery

Recently I had got a few days off from my work so I decided to hang out alone since rose was busy.After taking bath I had a pleasant cup of coffee.

I went to my balcony sipping my hot coffee where I met with the sight of him.

I stared at him for a while. His eyes still drowsy and hair messy yet somehow he still managed to look good. We had a brief eye contact but I quickly broke it as i felt a bit awkward to face him .so I went back inside again.

The evening came and I got ready to take a stroll outside. The breeze slow the leaves rumbling, the flowers falling down and kids running across the road made me smile. It felt good to get time to spend for yourself.

As I walked a shop selling lottery tickets got my attention. I bought one of them and went happily dancing and twirling to my way home.

After 2 days

Today was the best day in my life I had won 2 lottery tickets to Paris!!
I was damn happy today. I quickly called Rose but she was busy so she will not be able to make it. None of my other friends are free too.

I went to the chambers mansion to get to my work. While entering inside I heard Austin arguing over the phone. I decided to eavesdrop a bit .

Over the phone
Austin (irritated)- What ?! You can't book a damn ticket properly.......
The meeting is important. We both need to be present there in the meeting. and only 1 ticket is available?..... .yeah we need 3 tickets to Paris..... request them , I am ready to pay more too....

He cut the call pressing the bridge of his nose irritatedly .

I went to him and said "hey.. good morning. Is there anything I can help you with?"

He replied, his voice with a hint of irritation and coldness "no you can't"

"Try me what if I can"

He sighed and said "we are going to Paris"

I asked confusedly "we?? "

"Yeah we . You , me and grandfather" he replied.

"Why me though?"
"Grandpa is insisting and besides I would be busy with my clients"

"Ohh. I have the solution. I have 2 tickets to Paris for day after tomorrow. I won it in a lottery. And 1 ticket is available right? " I said

"Oh ! Wow great then . We can go day after tomorrow then.....Thank you thank you"

He stepped forward to hug me, but stopped midway. He scratched the back of his neck and smiled awkwardly so I came forward and hugged him . He was fully shocked he stood there being shocked. Even though he had hugged me once I never did . I chuckled and went away.

The morning passed by i went to Oliver's room to check on him

I smiled and wished him. He smiled in return .

"Did u eat the medicines I prescribed you?"I asked

"Yes yes I did " he replied chuckling.
"What is that chuckle for?" I asked smiling confusedly

"You think I am a child ? You and Austin keep checking on me every 10 minutes "

"That's because we care for you".
Just as we were talking Austin came into the room.

"Hello guys" he said his voice deep yet cheerful.

"Hi" we both replied

"Grandpa did u eat your medicines?"

"Yes I did. You both kids are pissing me by asking me the same questions again and again. Now get out of my room i don't want to hear any other questions from you both" Oliver said irritatedly .

"Okay " i chuckled and went away.

Time skip
Night

As soon as I stepped in front of my door step I saw it already being open.

As much as I remember I had left with my door locked or did I just forget?   Maybe I had really forgotten to lock it. I just hope my house isn't robbed

I entered and the sight infront of me left me shocked and scared. A man was lying dead and blood dripped from his head. His hands were covered in blood. I let out a terried and scared cry.

Just then I felt everything black out infront of me. I suddenly felt very weak. I was going to collapse but a strong pair of arms caught me.
"Doctor! Doctor! Clara!"
