Sephiroth neared the medical center, he couldn't help but feel a sense of worry for (Y/n). He hoped that she would be ok, and that the injuries she had sustained were not life-threatening in any way.

He reached the medical center, and proceeded to enter. Sephiroth's eyes scanned around the room, taking in the bright, sterile, walls of the medical center. He spotted the familiar face of (Y/n) in one of the beds, and he slowly started towards her. His footsteps made a slight, muted tapping sound against the white floors of the facility. The only sound accompanying him were the heart monitors beeping quietly in the room. He stopped before reaching her bedside, for a moment, Sephiroth considered leaving, would (Y/n) even want to see him..?

(Y/n) laid on the medical bed as she woke up. She groggily looked around, her head hurting and a headache coming on. With a wince, she sat herself up, being careful of the cuts and bruises all over her body, all the worst ones being covered with bandages and wraps.

She sat, staring at the white wall before her, still being a bit disorientated. Then, out the corner of her eye she saw Sephiroth arrive and stop by the foot of her bed, watching her in silence.

Sephiroth watched as (Y/n) stirred, and slowly sat up in her bed. He noted the pain on her features, which made his expression turn concerned. Her body was covered in bandages and wraps, and he could see a few cuts and bruises on her face.

Sephiroth felt a pang of guilt seeing her like that. He knew that she had gotten those injuries while trying to protect him from that attack. He felt responsible for her condition.

He waited until her gaze landed on him before speaking. "Hey..."

(Y/n) blinked a few times, still a bit out of it, before noticing Sephiroth standing before her. (Y/n) was still a little disoriented from just waking up, and her headache wasn't helping her focus her mind.

"Hey.." She responded quietly, her voice still a bit groggy and slow. She lifted one hand up from the bed and rubbing her head, making a slight wincing sound as it put a slight strain on her bandaged arm.

Sephiroth observed her, noticing the grogginess in her voice and the wince of pain as she moved. His eyes traced up and down to her bandaged arm.

"You shouldn't strain yourself. You were badly hurt." Sephiroth said cautiously. He couldn't help but feel a wave of guilt rise within him. If only he had reacted faster, maybe she wouldn't have gotten hurt.

(Y/n) lowered her head, her vision still going a bit blurry and her world still felt like it was spinning. "Yeah, I know..." She replied, still sounding like she was in a daze.

Her eyes then traveled over his face, taking note of the concerned look on his features. (Y/n) lifted her eyes up to meet his gaze, her expression blank, though it was hard to tell if it was because of her mental state or her true demeanor.

"I'm fine, really. It's just..." She went quiet, the words she wanted to speak getting stuck in her throat.

Sephiroth observed her, taking in every little detail. Her dazed voice, the blank expression on her face that he couldn't quite read. He could sense that something was wrong, but he couldn't put his finger on it.

He stepped forward a little bit, closing the distance between them. His brows furrowed in concern, as he gently asked, "It's just what? What's wrong?"

(Y/n) felt a warm liquid run down her cheek. Quickly, she turned her head away from him, hiding her face with one bandaged arm, trying to hide the tears that fell down her cheeks.

"I-I was so scared of losing you.. I. . I'm so glad you're not hurt..." She managed to say though a choked voice, trying to control her crying and failing. She couldn't let him see her like this. Vulnerable, weak. She was supposed to be strong... for him.
