KELIESE JONES

SANDY SPRINGS APARTMENT COMPLEX
ATLANTA, GEORIGA

The yellow morning sun wasn't as comforting as usual the next day. Stretching her limbs she sat up replaying last nights events as she stared into the blank wall ahead of her. Mia woke up to the sight of her best friend just sitting there. She could sense the tension in the air and knew that something was troubling her mind. With a soft smile Mia sat up as well and gently wrapped her arms around her waist, laying her head in Keliese's neck cavity. "Hi stinka." She softly uttered.

Snapping out of her thoughts she immediately laid her head on Mia's letting the hot tears rush to the surface shaking her head in a no motion. "It's over. I fucked up. I told him about Elijah." Keliese whispered out.

Blinking slowly Mia responded "You told him??" Pausing for a moment to let her mind reel she continued, "Wait who the fuck is Elijah?" She questioned stroking Keliese's hair gently waiting to listen to her confession.

Keliese and Elijah had been long time friends, they actually were mutuals through Amari but left it as nothing more than friendship when Amari got a conversation out of her first and set his intentions on Keliese making it clear to everyone what the two was on. Holding his composure about his feelings for so long, he was overzealous to hear that she needed some extra support after the news of Amari's imprison. Knowing Amari wouldn't be able to interfere as much as he could in person, Elijah decided it was nothing but a perfect opportunity to try and refocus her sights on him. Evidently... that didn't come to fruition.

"You remember football head from high school? " Keliese sighed as she trailed out knowing her bestfriend needed a little help jogging her memory sometimes.

"Shut the fuck up! No way Kels..... Footb- Okay. Um? You definitely had always had a tendency to go for the uglies but Eli?" Mia shot up in surprise.

"Is now the time bitch? Hellooooo? My man is gone!" Keliese dropped her head into Mia's lap whining.

"Right! What did he say?" She asked softly, hoping to provide reassurance as she intently listened to her confession about Amari.

"It all went downhill after I basically confirmed i've been entertaining another nigga because I really couldn't take the lying to him anymore and it ended with him saying he needs time." Keliese sniffled out, "Fuck you needing time! I need you!" She exclaimed frustratedly.

Mimi's heart ached for her best friend. She knew what they had was more than puppy love but she was also a firm believer in when someone was wrong... they was just dead wrong; no exception for what role you played in her life. Nevertheless it still pained her to see Keliese in so much pain. "I know baby, but sometimes niggas need time to process things and figure out they feelings too. He's most definitely just hurt and confused right now, but that doesn't mean he completely cut you off."
