BURNING DESIRE

Chapter 6

It was a whirlwind of chaos as Jimmy and I stepped onto the red carpet, with paparazzi screaming questions and flashing cameras blinding us at every turn. I couldn't help but laugh nervously as we tried to make our way through the madness.

"Hey Winter! James! Look this way! Is it true you were pregnant when filming?" a photographer yelled, causing my smile to falter for a moment. I glanced over at Jimmy, who simply shook his head and muttered a "no comment.

""Whose baby is that you were spotted pushing the pram around the park earlier today?" another photographer shouted, causing Jimmy to once again dodge the question with a simple "no comment.

""Are you two a couple now? Is the baby yours, Jimmy?" the questions kept coming, relentless and invasive. I couldn't help but feel a surge of panic as we were bombarded with personal queries.

As we finally made our way towards the entrance of the venue, the questions didn't stop. "Winter, you're nominated for an award tonight. How do you feel?" a reporter shouted in my direction.

"I'm so excited! This is my first movie and to be nominated already is such a dream come true," I replied, trying to keep the smile on my face despite the overwhelming nerves.

Jimmy chimed in, his voice full of admiration, "Winter is a fantastic actress and she deserves to win. There is a lot more to come from this wonderful lady.

"The paparazzi didn't let up, their questions becoming more insistent. "So, that's true then? You two are a couple?" one of them shouted, desperate for a confirmation.

Jimmy couldn't help but tease them a little, giving me a flirty wink before replying, "Maybe.

"The questions kept coming, more personal and invasive than ever.

"Before the paparazzi could continue their relentless onslaught of questions, Jimmy swiftly guided me towards the entrance of the venue. "We have to get inside now," he announced, his protective demeanor shining through.

As we walked through the grand doors of the venue, leaving the chaotic red carpet behind us, I couldn't help but feel a surge of gratitude for having Jimmy by my side. Despite the intense scrutiny and invasion of privacy, his unwavering support and calm presence grounded me in the midst of themedia frenzy.

Inside, the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as guests mingled and prepared for the awards ceremony.

God, is that Taylor Jones over there? I say, chuckling. I feel starstruck. "Yes, and so what?" Jimmy replies. "So what? Are you crazy? So what? He is every woman's dream and even some men's dreams. He's a fucking god, sex on legs, a fine piece of a man," I say. However, Jimmy doesn't seem very happy with this comment. "Well, I'll make sure no one introduces you to him then. Have you seriously got the hump? I'm only saying I'm a bit starstruck. He's like an idol, a big Hollywood A-lister, and everyone knows who Taylor Jones is."

"Oh, look over there. Susan, our director of the movie that we're up for an award for. Am I allowed to go and talk to her, or are you worried in case she introduces me to Taylor Jones?" I say, strutting off towards Susan. "Hey," I say as I make my way over.

"You finally made it."

"Yes, of course, I would never miss this," I says. "Let me introduce you to my husband, Joe."

"Hello, winter right?, I've heard a lot about you."

As I shake Joe's hand, I can't help but feel a little giddy. This is the kind of event where you never know who you might run into, and the thought of potentially crossing paths with Taylor Jones has my heart racing.

"It's nice to meet you, Joe," I say, trying to keep my cool. "I have to say, I'm a bit of a fan of your wife's work. That movie we're up for an award for? Absolutely brilliant."

Joe chuckles and gives me a knowing look. "I'm sure you're not the only one who feels that way. Susan's been the talk of the town ever since that film came out."

Jimmy slowly made his way over to us a mischievous grin spreading across his face. "Hey there, Susan!, joe he shakes joe's hand Taylor he just nod his head.

How's the new film coming along?" Susan asked,
" Great, even though I have to Film in Miami for a few months I can't complain."

"Oh, that reminds me, Winter. We've got a discussion to have," she said, turning to me "I've got a massive opportunity for you, and I've spoken to Taylor about it. He's up for it, and I want you to play the main role. But we'll talk about that later."

My eyes widened with excitement. "Oh my God, okay!" I  exclaimed, barely containing her enthusiasm.

"Looks like everyone's getting rushed into the hall, ready for the award ceremony." Taylor saia
"That means the food is up, and the evening starts here," he said, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Winter, maybe you would allow me to accompany you to the food hall? We're going to be working as the main roles together, after all."

Jimmy grinned and gestured towards the hall. "Well, as we are all going in the same direction she can walk with us all, shall we?" he said, leading the way. As we made our way into the hall, I couldn't help but notice Jimmy's odd behavior.

Why is Jimmy being such a dick this evening?i thought to myself shaking her head in disbelief.  Its fucking embarrassing.
