Cas was woken by a chuckle from the door. Bast stood there, gazing at him. "I wondered what would happen if I locked you in a room with Dean Winchester." Dean was asleep next to Cas, and the goddess walked over. "I'd wake him up, he might want to see Jo and Ellen Harvelle before the suffer my wrath." She stalked off and Cas turned to shake Dean awake. "Cassie, what happened?" "Get up, hurry." Dean sat up grimacing at the pain that shot through him. Cas was in pain too, but he cared more about Dean being okay. He helped Dean to his feet and hung one arm over his shoulder. Dean's legs were still weak, despite being stitched. They were escorted by Bast's bodyguards to the room Cas had first been brought to, where he had found Dean chained with the others.

Meg sat in the middle of the room, trapped in some sort of symbol. The other two women were still chained against the other posts, and they were still cut and bloody and both were gagged. Bast stood in front of Meg, and pulled up a chair for Dean to sit on. Cas walked to the lone window that wasn't covered, and looked out into the soft light. Cas couldn't tell what time it was, all he knew was that it was past five. There had been a clock in their room, and he knew he had woken around nine-thirty. But the time it had taken to help Dean to this room added on at least another ten minutes. It was close to ten, and Cas thought back to their one lone ally.

A werewolf, which reminded Cas of a movie he had once watched. "Hour of the Wolf" by Ingmar Bergman. But if werewolves were real, then perhaps the hour of the wolf was too. Luna was probably affected by this time, and Cas struggled to remember the single most important quote that he would ever need."The hour between night and dawn. The hour when most people die, when sleep is deepest, when nightmares are most real. It is the hour when the sleepless are haunted by their deepest fears, when ghost and demons are most powerful, the hour of the wolf is also the hour when most children are born."

When sleep is deepest. Cas thought to himself, however Bast had noticed him deep in thought and had him brought closer to Meg. Bast scratched her with her claws and Meg laughed through the pain. "You...think you can torture me? I'm a Lucifer-loyalist. I've been through worse." Bast sighed and grabbed Cas. Putting a knife to his throat, and stood him in front of Meg. "Tell me where it is....or precious Castiel gets it." "Clarence." Meg said, fear in her voice. "Where?" "With Luna. I don't know where she is, if I did I would have contacted her already." Bast let Cas go and he stumbled towards the two other women. He looked up at them and the younger gave him a hopeful look, gazing to the cuffs that held her.

He scanned the floor, looking for something to pick the locks with, but the girl shook her head. She attempted to gesture to her boot. She stomped her foot and a lockpick popped out of a hidden sheath. He grabbed it and quickly picked the locks on her handcuffs, then went to the older woman. They were as quiet as could be, and Cas' hands didn't shake for once. The younger ripped the gag off her mouth and breathed fresh air. Slowly the blonde lowered the other to the ground and slipped the lockpick back into her boot. "Mom...you okay?" Cas nodded to her and walked back over to the window. This time he saw something, a shimmer and a hint of movement.

"Luna." he breathed. He quickly backed away from the window and went over to Dean. "Dean, help is coming, I promise." he muttered. Bast was stalking away from Meg, and turned to Cas and Dean. "Pretty boys, I loved watching you dance. But no one is coming to help you and you have no weapon powerful enough to fight me with." Cas looked to Meg who nodded, and he turned out the window and waved, making as big a scene as possible. And a huge pack of wolves bounded through the window. Luna was at the head, her silver and black fur unmistakeable. She had a leather bag tied around her neck like a collar, and Cas reached for it. He grabbed the single object within it and drew it out. It was a bigger version of the angel blade he had used, but it also radiated with power. He turned and found chaos.

Bast was hissing and fighting with wolf Luna and Meg. Dean was attempting to fight, leaning on a pillar and swinging a blade. The other two women were attacking Bast's bodyguards, and the wolves helped too. Others closed in on Bast, but Cas had the weapon to stop this. He felt the weight shift in his hands, it fit perfectly. There was an opening where he could hit Bast, and he could feel that he wouldn't miss. He pulled his arm back and threw the archangel blade. It flew straight and true into Bast's side and she fell to the floor. Luna was suddenly a girl again and was by her side, leaning over to make sure she was dead. None of that mattered to Cas, Dean was fighting a large cat guardian and losing. Cas turned and saw that the guardian was looking from him to Bast and snarling. He pounced at Cas, but Dean jabbed his blade into the guard's stomach and he fell to the ground bleeding out.

Cas and Dean turned to the center of the room, all the wolves had turned into their human forms and were watching Luna and Meg. They were wrapping Bast in a linen cloth, and turned to a pair of werewolves who had brought in a large pile of sticks. When Cas realized it was a pyre, he turned to Dean. "They're burning her body Dean, do we stop them?" "No." came a voice from behind them. The two women stood there. "Castiel? Jo and Ellen Harvelle. We're associates in the alternate reality." Ellen took Dean aside to check on Cas' first aid work and Jo pulled him aside. "Tell me here it's true." "What?" "You and Dean. Together." "Oh, well. Not really." Cas felt a blush creep up his neck and onto his cheeks.

"Oh really? Well, make it happen angel boy. You two are so happy together, I don't see why you can't admit you're in love." "It's hard like this, it's not well taken here." "Nor back in our world, but if it's right in God's eyes, it'll happen." Jo promised. She smiled and pulled Cas over to see Dean. "Dude," Dean said with a smile, "you're pretty badass. I just realized something....we missed our graduation." Cas was mortified, and Dean broke out laughing. Cas couldn't help it, Jo's words still fresh in his mind he pulled Dean close and pressed his lips to Dean's. They didn't separate until they had to breathe, and Dean smiled cheekily at Cas. "Well, well Castiel Novak. It looks like when I'm all done healing you're moving in with me for a while, correct?" Cas just smiled and nodded, maybe things would work out in the end.
