Sam looks at his brother, as Sam gets up along with Dean and Whitney, and the three of them went downstairs. "You can't just break in, middle of the night, and expect me to hit the road with you."

"You're not hearing me Sammy. Dad's missing. I need you to help me find him." Dean says.

"You remember the poltergeist in Amherst? Or the Devil's Gates in Clifton? He was missing, and he's always fine." Sam says as Dean stopped and turned around, as Sam stopped two. Dean had Whitney in his arms.

"Not for this long. Now, are you gonna come with me or not?" Dean asked his brother as he didn't hesitate to shake his head no. "I'm not." Sam says to his brother, as Dean sighs. "Why not?" Dean asked. "I swore I was done hunting. For good. I have a girlfriend and a daughter to raise and take care of. I don't have the time to go hunting with you, Dean." Sam says as Whitney had a frown on her face.

"Come on. It wasn't easy, but it wasn't bad." Dean says like it's no big deal. "Yeah? When I told Dad I was scared of the thing in my closet, he gave me .45." Sam says, as Dean stopped at the door to the outside. "Well, what was he supposed to do?" Dean asked. "I was nine years old! He was supposed to say don't be afraid of the dark."

"I'm afraid of the dark." Whitney says as she decided to pipe up into the conversation as despite everything Sam suppressed a chuckle at his niece, as Dean looked down at her with a look that says: 'you're not helping'.

"Don't be afraid of the dark? Are you kidding me? Of course, you should be afraid of the dark. You know what's out there." Dean says getting back into the conversation. "Yeah, I know, but still. The way we grew up, after Mom was killed, and Dad's obsession to find the thing that killed her." Sam says.

Dean glanced outside as Sam talked. "But we still haven't found the damn thing. So we kill everything we can find." Dean rubbed Whitney's back to get her to fall asleep, he pressed a kiss to the top of her head. "We save a lot of people doing it, too."

"I don't want Spencer to be raised like Dad raised us. You think Mom would have wanted this for us?" Sam asked as Dean rolled his eyes and slammed the door open. Dean and Sam climbed the short flight of stairs to the parking lot.

"The weapon training, the melting the silver into bullets. Man, Dean, we were raised like warriors." Sam says as they crossed the parking lot to the impala.

"So what are you gonna do? You're just gonna live some normal, apple life? Is that it?" Dean says as Sam shook his head at his brother. "No. Not normal. Safe. I want Spence to go to a good school, and maybe a college if she so chooses, and not live in the hunter life."

"Is that why you ran away?" Dean looked away as he continues to rub Whitney's back as he placed another tender kiss onto the top of her head. "Yeah, well, I don't want to." Sam says. "What was he hunting?" He asked.

Dean opened the trunk of the Impala, then the spare-tire compartment. It's an arsenal. He propped the compartment open with a shotgun and handed Whitney to Sam who happily took the girl and started kissing the girl's head, which made her smile as Dean dug through the clutter. "All right, let's see, where the hell did I put that thing?"
