As they lingered in the soft glow of the moment, Aaron's expression shifted slightly, a hint of determination shining in his eyes. Sandra could sense that he was about to say something important, and her heart raced in anticipation.
"Hey, Sandra," he began, his voice steady but warm, "I know we just shared a really special moment, and I don't want to rush things. But I'd like to take you out—just the two of us. Maybe dinner this weekend?"
Sandra felt a flutter of excitement at his words. She had dreamt of this, but hearing him actually ask made it feel real and tangible. "You mean like a date?" she asked, trying to suppress a smile that threatened to break out.
"Yeah, exactly like a date," he replied, his eyes sparkling with sincerity. "I want to spend more time with you, away from all the noise of the party, just us getting to know each other better."
She paused, letting the reality of it sink in. A date with Aaron? It felt like something out of a romantic movie. Sandra could already picture the two of them in a cozy restaurant, laughing over shared dishes and stealing glances across the table. The thought made her heart soar.
"I'd love that," she said, a smile breaking free. "Where do you want to take me?"
Aaron grinned, clearly relieved and excited. "There's this little Italian place I know. Great food and a nice atmosphere. I think you'd like it."
"Sounds perfect," Sandra agreed, her excitement bubbling over. "I've always wanted to try authentic Italian food!"
"Great! It's a date, then," he said, his smile widening.
As they stood together on the balcony, the night air surrounding them felt charged with possibilities. Sandra couldn't help but marvel at how quickly everything had changed—from shy glances in the hallway to this moment of connection and now planning a date.
"Just so you know," Aaron added, his voice teasing, "I might not be as good at keeping things organized as you are, but I promise to make it fun."
Sandra laughed, feeling a warmth spread through her. "I'll hold you to that. Just don't let your friends talk you into ditching me, okay?"
"Not a chance," he said, his tone serious. "I'm looking forward to this too much to let anything get in the way."
With that promise hanging in the air, they shared one last lingering look before heading back inside. As they stepped into the lively atmosphere of the party, Sandra felt a giddiness take over her, knowing that she had something special to look forward to.
With Aaron by her side, this was just the beginning of a new adventure—one that filled her with hope and excitement for what was to come.
