Aarohi soon fell asleep. Abhimanyu gently kissed her forehead and carefully placed her head on the cushion before standing up. It was quite cold in the balcony. He went to Aarohi’s room and brought a warm blanket from there. He draped it over her and then knelt down in front of her, watching her face. He thought to himself, "Something has definitely happened to Aaru. I have to find out."

As he sat there gazing at her, he suddenly felt a hand on his shoulder from behind. When he turned around, he saw Anandita Ji standing there. He got up from beside Aarohi and led Anandita Ji a little away, saying, "Mom! You're still awake?"

Anandita Ji replied, "I just came to check on you two. You weren't in your room, so I came upstairs."

Abhimanyu said, "Yeah, I was here with Aaru."

Anandita Ji gently stroked Abhimanyu’s head and said, "I saw that. Abhi, Sometimes I feel like you're her mother, not me. If something is bothering her, you sense it before I do. And she always looks for you first."

Abhimanyu’s eyes were wet. He said, "No, Mom! A mother is always a mother. No one can take your place. But yes, I've always taken great care of Aaru. It feels like she’s a part of me. I’ll never let her feel alone."

Anandita Ji replied, "That’s why I have peace of mind, Beta! I know you're always with her."

Abhimanyu smiled. Anandita Ji continued, "Abhi! Did she say anything? From her face, it’s clear she’s deeply troubled."

Abhimanyu sighed deeply and said, "No, Mom! She’s not just troubled; she’s shattered. It will take her a long time to heal."

Tears welled up in Anandita Ji’s eyes. She said, "And we have to pretend like we don’t know. Does she really think we have no idea of her condition?"

Abhimanyu replied, "Mom! Our little Aaru has gone through so much at such a young age."

Anandita Ji said, "Yes, Beta! But now it feels like her life is going to be the same as before. There’s a glimmer of hope."

Abhimanyu asked in surprise, "How?"

Anandita Ji replied, "Abhinav. I feel like he’s the only person who can help her pull herself back together. After Dhruv left, Abhinav is the only guy Aaru has made the first move toward."

Abhimanyu said, "I feel the same. But first, I need to find out a few things, Mom! Anyway, you should sleep now. It's very late. I’ll go check on Chikki."
