Walter's pov

The last day of school arrived, and everything felt a little bittersweet. It was a day filled with goodbyes and excitement for summer, but for Henry, it meant going home. I could see the nervous look in his eyes as we packed up our things in the dorm room.

"Are you okay?" I asked, noticing he was quieter than usual.

He sighed, running a hand through his red hair. "I don't want to go home, Walter. Not yet."

"Why not?" I asked gently, trying to understand.

"It's just... my mom is going to be super busy, and I don't want to deal with my dad. He's hardly ever around, and when he is, it's awkward. I feel like I don't fit in anywhere." His voice was barely above a whisper, and I could feel the weight of his words.

I wanted to help him, to make things better. "You know you can always stay with me, right?" I said suddenly, surprising myself. "If you don't want to go home, you can come to my place for a while."

He looked at me with wide eyes, surprise mixing with hope. "Really? You wouldn't mind?"

"Of course not! I want you to be happy, and if staying with me helps, then let's do it."

His face broke into a smile, and I felt my heart flutter. "You're amazing, Walter. I can't believe you'd want that."

"Of course I want that. We can have fun together, just the two of us." I grinned, imagining all the adventures we could have over the summer.

"Okay," he said softly, his expression growing serious. "But what if my mom gets mad?"

"I'll talk to her. I can explain everything," I assured him. "She likes you. I'm sure she'll understand."

He nodded, looking relieved. "Thanks, Walter. That means a lot."

As we finished packing up, I felt a rush of excitement. It would be great to have Henry with me, away from all the stress and complications of our families.

Once we were done, we headed out to the school grounds. The sun was shining bright, and the air felt fresh. Students were laughing, running around, and saying their goodbyes. But all I could think about was how free we felt.

We found a quiet spot under a big tree, away from the noise. I turned to Henry, wanting to capture this moment. "So, are you ready for summer?" I asked, trying to lighten the mood.

He smiled, his blue eyes sparkling. "I am now that I get to spend it with you."

I stepped closer, my heart racing. "I'm really glad about that."

He looked at me, and for a moment, everything else faded away. I leaned in, and our lips met in a soft kiss. It felt magical, like nothing else mattered. His lips were warm against mine, and I wrapped my arms around him, pulling him closer.

When we finally pulled apart, he looked a little dazed, his cheeks flushed. "Wow," he breathed. "That was nice."

"Yeah," I said, smiling. "Let's do that a lot this summer."

He laughed, and it felt so good to see him happy. "Definitely."

As we stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, I realized how much I loved him. It wasn't just a crush anymore; it was something deeper. I wanted to be with him, to support him, and to share my life with him.

"Henry," I said softly, "I love you."

He looked at me, surprise flashing across his face before it softened into a smile. "I love you too, Walter. More than I can say."

We kissed again, feeling the warmth of the moment. It was perfect, like everything I had ever wanted.

Finally, we pulled away and looked at each other, grinning like fools. "So, are you ready to go?" I asked.

"Ready as I'll ever be," he replied, and together, we walked out of the school grounds hand in hand.

As we stepped into the warm sunlight, I felt a sense of freedom wash over us. The summer stretched out ahead, filled with possibilities. With Henry by my side, I knew that everything would be okay. We were ready to face whatever came next - together.

As we walked away from the school, hand in hand, a sense of freedom enveloped us. The summer sun warmed our skin, and laughter filled the air. I glanced at Henry, who was smiling back at me, his blue eyes shining with excitement.

"We're going to have the best summer ever," I said, feeling a rush of hope.

"Absolutely," he replied, squeezing my hand tighter.

With every step, I knew we were starting a new chapter together, ready to face the world side by side. Together, we were unstoppable, and nothing could break the bond we had created.

The End.
