At five months along, Babe’s belly had finally started to show, and none of his pants fit anymore. The bedroom was a mess—clothes scattered all over the bed and floor as he tried to find something to wear.
Charlie stood at the doorway, watching him with an amused smile. “Babe, you’ve gone through almost every piece of clothing you own,” Charlie teased lightly.
Babe, clearly frustrated, threw a shirt onto the bed and huffed. “Nothing fits anymore! I don’t have anything comfortable to wear to this stupid appointment.”
Charlie walked over, picking up a shirt from the pile and inspecting it. “Why don’t we just go get you some new clothes after the appointment? Something that'll fit better.”
Babe crossed his arms, pouting. “I know, but I want to wear something today. I feel like a balloon.”
Charlie chuckled, walking up behind him and wrapping his arms gently around Babe’s bump. “You’re not a balloon. You’re carrying our baby, and you look amazing. We’ll figure something out. How about this oversized hoodie? It's comfy.”
Babe sighed, leaning into Charlie’s embrace. “Fine, but only because I have no other choice. I miss my jeans,” he grumbled, pulling on the hoodie.
Charlie kissed the top of his head. “You’ll be back in them soon enough. But right now, we need to get to that appointment, or we’re going to be late.”
At the doctor’s office, Babe sat on the exam table, his heart racing with excitement. Charlie stood next to him, holding his hand. They had been coming to these appointments regularly, and today was a special one—the day they would find out their baby’s gender.
The doctor checked Babe’s health as usual, smiling as she glanced at the ultrasound monitor. “Everything looks good. You’re both healthy and right on track,” she said.
Babe squeezed Charlie’s hand, bouncing slightly in his seat. “Can we find out the baby’s gender today?” he asked, his eyes wide with excitement.
The doctor chuckled. “Yes, today we can reveal that. Are you ready?”
Babe nodded eagerly, while Charlie, though a bit more composed, smiled warmly at him. The doctor turned the screen so they could both see and began the ultrasound, pointing out their baby on the monitor.
“Alright, it looks like...you’re having a baby girl,” the doctor announced with a smile.
Babe’s eyes immediately filled with tears of joy. “A girl?” he whispered, looking up at Charlie, who was grinning down at him.
“Yeah, a girl,” Charlie repeated, his voice soft as he brushed a tear from Babe’s cheek. “We’re going to have a daughter.”
Babe could barely contain his excitement. “I can’t believe it! A girl. We have to start thinking of names, and—oh, I have so many ideas already!”
Charlie chuckled, kissing the top of his head. “We’ve got time, don’t worry. Let’s just enjoy this moment.”
As they both looked at the ultrasound image of their little girl, Babe felt a surge of happiness he hadn’t expected. This was real. They were going to be parents to a baby girl.
The drive home after the appointment was filled with excitement, though Babe was still buzzing from the news. He kept running through lists of potential baby names, turning to Charlie with every idea.
"What about Sera? Or maybe Hana? Oh, wait—how about Yuna?" Babe rambled, grinning as he looked at Charlie, who kept glancing over at him while driving.
Charlie smiled, his hand resting comfortably on Babe’s thigh. "They’re all great names, but we don’t have to rush. Let’s pick something that feels right."
"I know, I know," Babe laughed softly, his hands resting on his baby bump. "I just can’t help it, I’m so excited! I can’t believe we’re having a girl. It feels like everything is happening so fast."
"It is," Charlie agreed, his voice gentle. "But we’re ready for this. We’ve been through so much already, and we’ve got each other."
Babe nodded, leaning back in his seat. The quiet confidence in Charlie’s voice always had a way of calming him. Despite the whirlwind of emotions that pregnancy brought—joy, fear, excitement, and exhaustion—he felt safe with Charlie by his side.
When they got home, the first thing Babe did was go straight to the nursery they had started setting up a few weeks ago. It was still empty except for a crib in the corner, but now that they knew the gender, Babe’s imagination ran wild.
“We need pink,” Babe said, staring at the neutral walls. “Maybe some soft pastel colors too. Oh, and those cute little decorations we saw last week…”
Charlie leaned against the doorway, watching Babe excitedly plan the room. He loved seeing him so happy, even if his mind was going a mile a minute.
“We’ll make it perfect,” Charlie said. “For her and for you.”
Babe turned and smiled, his heart full as he walked over to Charlie and wrapped his arms around him. “I’m so happy right now .”
Charlie held him close, resting his chin on Babe’s shoulder. “Me too.”
As they hugged, Babe suddenly pulled away, eyes widening.
"Shit, Charlie, we forgot the clothes!" he blurted out.
Charlie looked confused for a moment. "Clothes?" He too had forgotten.
"My clothes! You know, since none of my old ones fit anymore," Babe groaned, glancing down at his baby bump. "I can't keep squeezing into these."
Charlie laughed softly. "Right. We were supposed to pick up some clothes after the appointment."
Babe shook his head, frustrated. "I got so distracted by everything, and now look at me—I don't have anything to wear."
Charlie placed a comforting hand on Babe's shoulder. "Don't worry, we’ll head out again. I’ll make sure you get the comfiest clothes that fit perfectly."
Babe sighed, leaning into him. "You better. I’m not walking around in these tight shirts anymore."
Charlie smiled, pulling him back into a hug. "I got you, babe.”

See now with Babe's bump growing gradually, it becomes harder to perform certain activities. But no matter how hard it is, Babe finds a way. A way that's not uncomfortable to him or the baby. So now they stick to one position when making out.
Charlie sometimes tells him to wait until the baby is born but can Babe listen, when he's determined nothing can change his mind.
So now here they are, Charlie sitting leaning on the headboard with Babe straddling him. Charlie's following very strict instructions.
“Just sit there and do nothing…I'll do the moving.” And anyone in that position, will find it hard to just sit without any movement. So Charlie just holds Babe's waist as he moves up and down slowly. Which is literally torture to the young man.
Babe is having so much fun seeing Charlie's hurt expression. He's really using all his might to not do anything.
“What, are you uncomfortable?” He asks, he's faces inches away from Charlie's. If it weren't for the baby Charlie would have immediately flipped him over and punished him, but right now he has to be careful.
“No..” he says between gritted teeth. He then proceeds to pull Babe by the neck and kisses him to vent his frustration.
As the kiss gets heated Charlie finds himself grinding on Babe. The instructions to not move long forgotten. He increases his speed which makes Babe almost lose his mind as he finally reaches his climax and Charlie follows closely after.
After catching his breath, Babe can now speak.
“I told you not to move.” He hits him lightly on the shoulder.
“ Sorry I couldn't help it.” Charlie chuckles as he places a kiss on his neck.
